Freeman's Mask Review: Dead Sea Minerals

Today im doing another Freeman's Mask Review- this one is on the Dead Sea Minerals- hence the name. I did the Chocolate Strawberry Mask from Freeman a few months back and I loved it so much I almost grabbed it again- but then I thought about what I said on the Strawberry Chocolate Mask Review which was basically I love it so much but I wanna try all of them! I read each & everyone of the Freeman's mask's that Walmart had to offer, as they all have different benefits- and although I wanted basically all of them, I opted for Dead Sea Minerals.

My Skin Type: Acne Prone and Usually Oily, but can become Dry. I have what I would call an uneven skin tone, & my pores are large
Where to Buy: I bought mine at Walmart, but they are also at CVS too
How Much: $1.39
Here's the Claim: "This anti-stress mud mask, with Dead Sea Minerals, instantly absorbs excess oil while clarifying & purging clogged pores. Rinse away the mask to reveal smooth, radiant, healthy looking skin."

-Freeman's re-did their packaging which I think is really cute! They also changed the stand/location of where they are at at my Wal-Mart, as they were always on the very bottom shelf behind a bunch of other stuff. Now they are in the same isle, but at eye-level for people to see so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them...that's if all Wal-Mart's are the same. So new packaging, and a new location in the same isle.

-Can't say that this mask is anti-stress, but I wasn't expecting it to be a stress reliver. I mean, in a "pampering, me time" kind of way I guess I was stress reliving. The only thing that really relives stress for me is meditation...... (or pills).

-Something I learned this time around with the Freeman's mask's (and skin care) is that they are all made with natural & botanical ingredients. That's a plus. Not sure how they made this mud mask a deep teal color "naturally". However, I don't think they are aloud to say its natural when it actually isnt so I took a pic of all the ingredient's listed: you be the judge of this one.......

-The mask smells really fruity! and it's the color of deep teal from the fall series. It's basically the exact same color of the packaging & for some reason I wasn't expecting that. So the color and scent are both pretty.

-When I applied it near my eyes, my eyes would start to water. Of course, they say to avoid around/near your eyes and it's not like im putting the stuff even on my bags but I did put it on my nose, forehead, and temples. It wasn't so bad that I had to take the mask off and my eyes quit watering after a couple seconds, so nothing too drastic- but I figured that should be something to mention in a review.

-I actually got 2 uses outta the packet. It covered my whole face twice. I didn't really apply it on my neck so if your someone that likes to use mask's on your neck, you will get one full use out of it. For people like me who just go on the face and underneath the face (under the chin), u will get 2 full uses out of it.

-All and all, I liked the mask a lot and my very time use I didn't like it as much as I did the Chocolate Strawberry one. This time around, it did clean my out my pores and it also took away alot of the oil, which in turn left my face as soft as a baby's bottom! Maybe not that soft, but you get my point. The 2 are actually very comparable, if not almost identical. If I was to choose between them, I think I would pick the Strawberry one, I think that's because I loved the scent better than this one.

-I know, I said that in my Chocolate Strawberry review but if I could go back and change my opinion w/out the whole blog post being moved to today's date, I would change the whole thing to how much I love it (& make it, I little more descriptive...what can I say, it was my first review?) . I felt like that one made my face really soft and really did clean out clogged pores.

Like I said, they had plenty of different mask's for all different skin types. They had one for aged skin, one for large pores, one for uneven skin tone, one for dry skin etc. So if you are looking for a good mask I def. recommend Freeman's mask. I esp. love that they come in individual trial sizes (like the one I purchased) so you can see which one is best for you. I hope you enjoyed by review- have a great day!

Fall Trend Report: How & What Colors to Wear: 3/3

So like I said in part 2 I hope this will help your shopping trips become easier and daring for this season. And yes, these trends for fall are pretty daring - I would say! This brings a whole new light to the whole color blocking attitude

This was the part of the series that called for alot of research. These again, are not my rules of course- these colors of the season and rules are all declared by the ingenious Pantone. Please visit the link to find out more about the trends. And btw I mean "rules" very lightly because there are no rules for fashion or makeup or anything like that. I am so exited to bring you the third & last part of the Fall Trend Report series: what colors to wear & how to wear them.

I have put so much time & effort into it and it has been so much fun researching! But I think the funnest part of it is that I get to share it with you all! If you haven't seen the first 2 installments, heres part 1 and part 2. I put them in an order that makes most sense to me, but I highly doubt you will get lost starting with this page so let's get started!!

  • Bamboo a standout yellow with a subtle green undertone. This dappled shade pairs dramatically with several of the top 10, including Phlox, Teal and Honeysuckle.
Shoes: Bakers Scarf: Apt 9 at Kohls Coat: Old Navy

  • Emberglow combine with Coffee Liqueúr for a classic look, or with Honeysuckle for something a bit more retro. Add a spark with shoes or a handbag in Emberglow, or perhaps a patterned scarf combining purpled Phlox or Deep Teal.
Pumps: Jessica Simpson at Bakers Skirt: Forever 21 Shirt: Shop Ruche Boots: Bakers

  • Honeysuckle I know you guys remember this one from Spring Trends! This is actually "color of the year", a reddish pink that works with any other color in the palette, especially fall staples like Coffee Liqueúr and Nougat. To add some intensity, pair it with complementary Bamboo. You can also pair it with Emberglow for a look that's a bit more retro Honeysuckle produces a healthy glow – great for cosmetics and holiday soirees.
Sweater:Old Navy Purse:Bakers Shirt:Old Navy Boots: Wet Seal

  • Phlox "a magical, deep purple with a hint of mystery, is an outstanding statement when worn on its own. Add Phlox to this season's neutrals to create a bit of drama, or combine it with Cedar, Deep Teal or Coffee Liqueúr for something extraordinary. To add even more excitement, pair Phlox with Honeysuckle or Bamboo against a Cedar background – a combination inspired by Mother Nature."   - This is the ultimate color this season. As you can tell from the pictures, phlox is everywhere!
Sweater:Old Navy Shirt:Abercrombie & Fitch Shoes:Shoedazzle Purse:Kohls Cedar Colored Jeans: True Religion Ring: Forever 21

  • Cedar- is a versatile, mid-tone neutral green. It is a natural with Deep Teal, and sophisticated and timeless with Phlox or Orchid Hush.
Boots:Jessica Simpson at Bakers Sweater: Oops, Same one used for Phlox from Old Navy Heels: Either Bakers or Shoedazzle but I am pretty sure Shoedazzle

  • Deep Teal, a strong, blue-toned green & is a great standard when used with Cedar, its color-wheel neighbor, & it is also a unique counterpoint to Honeysuckle.
Shoes: Sorry Again, but either Bakers or Shoedazzle Shirt: Old Navy Bag: Shoedazzle

    • Nougat is a deliciously warm camel tan, & is tastefully embellished by Phlox, Emberglow or Honeysuckle.
Shoes: Charlotte Russe Shirt: Simply Vera (Vera Wang for Target) Skirt: Forever 21 (Great Transition Piece for Fall!) Sweater: Old Navy

    • Quarry, a reliable medium gray, remains, as always, a practical, dependable staple. Coffee Liqueúr is rich & decadent, bringing a sense of elegance to fall, and is a savory alternative to basic black.

    • Orchid Hush, a unique tone of gray with complex orchid undertones, blends well with any other color in the palette
Earrings: Bakers Both Shirts: I believe I found them on Forever 21's website

P.S.- Before I started learning about gimp and collage's I always wanted to use other people's- but I wasn't sure if I was allowed or not. By all means, please do use my collage's/pictures that I made- they are for everybody to enjoy. The only thing I ask of you is that you link back to me (my blog). I would hate to spend all of this time making these and not letting anybody else use them. I would also hate if I spent a bunch of time making them, and someone else is using them and taking credit- Enjoy, & Thank You (:

FOTD: Makeup Geek's Antique Gold...w/ My Own Twist of Course!

Hey beautiful bloggers! How have you guys been? ...me? doing pretty damn good! Let me give yah a little background to my story:

This past monday I started to look into going back to school. I have been paying off my loans to do so and I finally got a letter of recommendation from the loan place to go back-yay! so I went down to our local University (YSU) and found out I cannot attend there because I owe them money too- hey nobody's perfect! esp not me!

.....driving back home a bit sad, walking into my door, checking my caller ID. Casal's Aveda Institute called me about coming into check out their beauty school and they could not have called at a better time- There school is a bit expensive and I cant imagine paying as much as they want for the degree...a makeup degree for that matter - I know you can start behind a counter with out any certificate.

To make a (really) long story short, they are holding a competition that if you win, you get a scholarship to attend their school from first day until the very last with a free ride. If I win, I pay nothing!

Now your wondering, what does this competition consist of? You bring in your "model" (for me that will be my bfff Alex) & I need to come up with a glamour evening look- which leads me into my FOTD - I like to call it "Antiquing for your face"- whatever, it works.

A lot of the eye shadows are off brand and really don't have any name(s), so what im gunna do is post a picture of the color/product of the off-brand shadows instead. That way, if you wanna re-create this, you can refer to the color and make it your own!

    -Concealer: Maybelline 24/7 Super Stay
    -Foundation: Revlon Colorstay
    -Powder: Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

-Bronzer- Laura Gellar: Blush N' Brighten in Honey Dipped
-Highlighter- Covergirl Eye Shadow in Bedazzled Biscotti

Lips: I almost always do my "signature" lip combo which is:
-Liner: An L.A. Colors liner that dosent have a name. It's a medium pink color
    -Lipstick: Maybelline Born With It
-Nyx Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo

    Eyes:
-Primer: Jesse's Girl Eye Primer review here
-Extra Base: on brow bone and inner tear duct Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk
-Water Line: Physician's Formula liner in Black (yah no, that 3 pack I got)
-Tight line & Lid Liner: Mark. cream liner in  Entourage (black side) - I need a new one! it is going bad (obviously)
-Crease Color- Covergirl Eye Enhancers- Sea Glass Palette in the color Jade
-Blending Color & Above Crease Color: Clinique in Beach Bronze
-Lid Color & Tear Duct- Color Works - Yellow Top Color (picture below)

-Outer V color- Darkest Green Color of the palette Bottom Right

I got this idea from this site on this page ! I love Makeup Geek (& Jangsara for that matter) and I think she is perfect person to learn from if your wanting to take beauty a little more serious

Oh yeah in case anybody is wondering what I will be going to school for (if I win) will be Esthiology and that covers makeup, skin care, brows, & body care.

Any tips you can possibly give me? Anything at all! Comment, People! Take Care and Thanx for reading (:

Fall Trend Report: Clothing & Accessories: Part 2

Ok can I just say I that I had my word cut out for me with this series? On the other hand I am officially done writing & researching the whole series!...almost! haha- but I must say, not too shabby for a 24 year old living in Ohio- Ok I have wayyy too much time on my hands! But that actually makes this blog even better than I thought it could ever be- hopefully you guys love this part and the next, and hopefully it can make your near future shopping trips much more helpful & daring- I know it will mine!

What should we expect to walk off of the runway and hit our own back yards? 70's!! Ok so we all know that 70's means wide legged pants or flares aka "bell-bottoms" but this season there is so many variants to re-create the look.

-Bell Bottoms- I realize I just mentioned this but bell bottoms, wide-legged pants, whatever you wanna call it- anything with a wider leg, is on trend. To even go a step further with the trend for the bottoms, find pants with a higher waist.

key: My Favorites! all descriptions are Left to Right, Top to Bottom.

Left to Right: 1. Old Navy Skinny Sateen Flare Trousers 2. Abercrombie & Fitch  3.Idk again...sorry! 4. Abercrombie and Fitch

-Bow Blouses- We have seen the Kardashian's wear this trend this season on the show (remember the episode where Kris was hosting a wedding at her house and she was pressuring Kourtney to get married?) I wasnt too sure about the trend at that point but as I did research I noticed there was so many different kinds of bow blouses and you can find at least one to fit your own taste. Thumbs up for me. "Neat bow-blouses, especially ones with billowing or bishop sleeves. Particularly great are fabrics like silk and satin."

Hows this picture for randomness??!! 1.Old Navy 2.Vivienne Westwood 3.Paul Smith 4.(the girl in the corner) Kardashian Kollection for Sears 5.Micheal Kors  6.not sure?? buts its cute! 7. Old Navy

-Crochets & Knits- I love this trend! If your going for anything knitted or crocheted, to take it a step further with following trends, go with something over-sized. Me? I personally like either or.

    1.?But it is so cute!!!  2.(scarf)Charlotte Russe  3.Old navy  4.Old Navy 5.Abercrombie & Fitch

-Sheers & Heavy Metals-As you may be able to tell, alot, if not all, of these trends are being repeated from that past spring- with a slightly different twist. That holds true for all of the sheer pieces and all of the heavy metals. To go a step further with the heavy metals trend, mix your metals! take bronze with silver and pair it together.

1.ShopRuche.com Merry Mint Bow Top (sheer with the bow blouse trend- double whammy)  2. Bakers (metal-also with another trend chunky heels) 3. Bakers (metals) 4.Forever 21 set (mixed metals) 5. ShopRuche.com (sheer) 6. Shoedazzle (mixed metals) 7. Kardaahian Kollection for Sears (sheer top)

****I wish I would have found ShopRuche.com earlier when I first started this project because they have so much really cute on-trend pieces! I def. recommend to check that site out ladies!****

-Textures instead of Prints- Dont give away your prints just yet! Something tells me they will be trending very soon- A lot of designers are putting in textures where there usually is prints. I like it! Dont you? That Vera Wang Hoodie is Genius!

     1.Old Navy 2.A&F 3.A&F 4.Simply Vera (Vera Wang for Kohl's) 5.A&F 6.A&F

Some other notable trends from the 70's that are making their way into our closet's this seasons are: Thigh High Boots (love), those cut perfect fitting tuxedo blazers (I think would be great with a bow blouse, no?) & Burgundy Makeup, which I know you guys already know about that one!

Ok so to wrap it all up and put it in a nut shell:
-High Waisted Pants, Wide Leg Pants/Flares, Over-sized Crochets or Knits, Bow Blouses, Thigh High Boots, Form Fitting Blazers, Mixing Heavy Metals, Sheers, Textures opposed to prints - Did I miss any? Tell us in the comments!!!!

Your thinking now, what about fall colors and all that good stuff? I gotcha covered!! Be sure to come back for part 3 which will be all about the fall colors! We all remember color blocking, right? Color Blocking is still in, but it takes a different turn- I am loving it! So the 3rd and best part of the series is coming soon!!!!!
