The Versatile Blogger Award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woah! Thank you so much Dani for awarding me! I couldn't be more happy! I have never had an award before so I really wanna award her but I feel like it's pointless because she already has the award....Idk, I linked her anyways, her blog is awesome. To think that someone actually thinks I deserve an award is really amazing. I cannot tell you how many hours I have spent blogging. When I asked my boyfriend how many he's thinks, he looked at me a bit scared to even answer and said "100's and 100's....probably 1,000's" I have spent countless nights on gimp getting together "season trends", re-doing my header and layout, writing the posts, taking that "perfect" picture. To think that all of my hard work payed off and someone else's loves it too is rewarding. Blogging for me has become rewarding over the year and I can't believe how much I have improved. So yeah, now that im done being mushy and gushy let's get on with it!

Here's a couple things about me that you probably didn't know:

-I am an only child
-My favorite music genre's are rock (king of leon is my favorite) and rap (jay-z is my favorite for the moment)
-I moved to Las Vegas for exactly a year when I was 19. alone.
-I drive a freaking yellow car and I hate the color...talk about standing out.
-I went to school for Interior Design, but never finished
-I have had the same best friend since I was in 6th grade
-I live in Ohio
-I love mixing sprite and a little bit of lemonade- yum!
-I would rather stay at home with my boyfriend and my puppy and blog more than go out on a friday night. I know I am weird. When you have went out every single night for 4+ years it gets to be old.
-I danced throughout middle and high school
-I used to be a stripper

This award for the all the blogs I have been loving and I love to read so here's who I am awarding!
What Are You Thinking- I have seen her blog from the beginning and what I love about her is that she never ever gives up and is always trying new things on her blog to make it better. She is extremely creative too!
Amarixe- If you watch her on YouTube then you know who she is. Her blog is really great for swatches and reviews and she blogs often. Her blog covers different things then her channel does for the most part.

Kiss an Makeup- She was the very first blog I followed I think and I have loved her blog ever since. Her blog is different then any beauty blog and I can't out my finger on what it is. Her photography is always great. She is the person that inspired me to brush up on mine!

Nouveau Cheap- If you wanna know what sales are going on on a daily basis, if you wanna know what new products are hitting stores, she is your girl to go to. It is every beauty girl's must read.

Meredith from Pigments and Palettes- If it is some inspiration your looking for for your next FOTD, you dont need to look any further! Seriously, this chick is amazing

P.S. Its Vida- I always love her photography and she is either talking about the "it" thing of the moment or some really nice things that maybe I don't know about. As soon as I see it on her blog though, I search everywhere for it.

Makeup Wishes- A UK based blogger that always has something good to say

Life as a Southern Girl- You can always expect a through review on her blog and she probably reviewed everything offered in a drug store that is humanly possible

Beauty Meets Lifestyle- This is a newer blog I started following, but I think it will quickly become one of my all time favorites

The Sunday Girl- I always find myself clicking on her posts and then once I get to her blog, I realize it's The Sunday Girl again! She always has some really good topics! UK based blogger too

MSodaPop- Another blogger I have been following since the first day and I have always loved her blof as well. I think it says something when you have been reading a blog for a year, yah no?

Under the Christmas Tree!

I love Christmas! I love getting presents, I love giving them in creative ways, it's always so much fun! We had such a good Christmas this year. I didn't get to see my dad's side this year but I did see them last year and didn't see my mom's side so I guess it's even but for the most part I seen everyone.

I woke up and played with my puppy and did the Christmas Tag w/ pictures. Then me and my mom opened all of our presents. I got her a pillow, a pillow case, a scrapbook that I made, and a lot of stocking stuffers. Here's what she got for me:

Naked Palette
yay! I have wanted this forever!

Jeweled Trinkets:
I thought this was adorable! It came with a little purse mirror, emery board, lash curler and tweezers

Vanity Mirror
which isn't pictured because I am going to show my whole set up once it's done...looks like im taking back my other mirror I bought because this one is cuter.

In my stocking:
China Glaze
Fireside Glow- a beautiful red glitter

Clinique Happy
- I really wanted the LIV GRN I got in my Birchbox the first month I signed up, but the purfume is hard to track down and since my mom doesn't really like to online shop, I got this instead. I think it is a really great day time/summer/spring scent and I cannot wait to wear it! I mean, I have been wearing it but im just weird.

After all that, me and my mom went to my Aunt Lori's and Uncle John's house and everybody was there, so i was a happy girl. I got to give my Grandma her bath time gift and she was mad that I got her anything....crazy lady! She is my Grandma and all. Needless to say she loved it. I also got to give my cousin Caitlin her gift too which she loved. For my aunts & uncles, I loaded up little treat bags of all the treats I made. I would say cookies but I didn't make any cookies, mostly candy.

When I got home, my bfff Alex was waiting for me with Chloe which is Stella's (my puppy) little sister. For real, her dog Precious had puppies and 2 of which were Stella and Chloe. We exchanged gifts & I received

Blanket & Jammie Pants: They are both soo comfy! I am wearing the jammies right now actually.

Makeup
You know those The Color Workshop things they have around Christmas? They are under-rated. Some of things I got last year I still use and I am loving this one I got.

I really love the lipstick and also the "eye highlighter" which is basically a cream shadow.I also love the blush it came with too which I didn't swatch.

heres a picture of the "eye highlighter" or commonly known as a cream eyeshadow
--Wax Tart's that are called Wild Thang which are a fruity flavor, which I forgot to take a picture of. oops

Alex mentioned every thing she got me reminded her of me. the Drama Queen makeup, The tart is WildThang and it says "I think I love u" aww! Stella got Chloe a Doggie Snuggie. Stella got one too but they dont fit any puppies right now....except for Fattie, the fattest boy. I love fat doggies!

I also gave alex a box of candy that I made and afterward, Philly came over to spend the night. He bought me some great Body Shop Products a while back for Christmas that I have not yet shown you guys:

Christmas went off without a hitch but the only down side is that I didn't get to see my dad or my cousin's on my dads side- I miss them so much! I will soon enough, they still have gifts and candy over here!

What did you guys get for Christmas? If you did a post like this, be sure to link in the comments!
Have a Happy New Yearr!!!

Candles By Victoria

As you guys know if you frequent Meet Makeup that I placed an order for CBV and it came a few weeks back. I wanted to give you guys my 2cents on the candles so I wanted to wait for this post, so here we go:

Breakfast in Vermont- White chocolate truffle fragrance begins with top notes of caramel and sugar; well-rounded with middle notes of buttercream, maple, and molasses. Dry base notes include vanilla, white chocolate and white flour. -from the website.

It sounds so decadent, doesn't it? mmm hmm! This one reminds me a lot of Cinnamon Sugar Donut from Slatkin & Co (Bath & Body Works) I actually thought that I was burning that one when I was burning this one so I really feel it has a cinnamon note in there- an extremely sweet cinnamon note. Not one of those spicy ones. Which I prefer the sweet kind, if you cant tell by all of my candle purchases ever. Can we call this a dupe for Cinnamon Sugar Donut? yes, we can!

Log Cabin- We created this scent for a customer that wanted to play a prank on her hubby by making him think she was making him pancakes for breakfast and we did just that according to her! A rich blend of Maple, Butter and Syrup this scent will have you running to the kitchen. Just so yummy! -from the website.

This is actually funny it mentions that on the site because when my mom came in the other day she mentioned that it smelled like pancakes in here. This is truly maple syrup & buttery pancakes. I love this one and I love that I can smell the buttery note in it. <3

Tiffany D- TiffanyD on YouTube inspired me to create this wonderful fragrance. Colored light blue like the infamous Tiffany boxes, a beautiful mix of Watermelon, Honeydew Melon, Cotton Candy with a splash of Vanilla. -from the website.

This one to me smells a little plastic-y in some ways. Not that it smells like burning plastic, but it just doesn't smell like real fruit. However, all of the notes mentioned I can pick up after reading what's in it. Its one of those that smells extremely sweet

Coppertone ~ If you like the smell of coppertone suntan lotion, we think our copper suntan lotion fragrance will make you very happy! -from the website.

I haven't burned this one yet and for some reason I wanna wait for spring/summer but it really does smell for the most part like Coppertone. I think once I burn it I am really going to be smelling the Coppertone.

Cotton Candy-County Fairs, ferris wheels and good times are what this sweet scent brings to mind. Sweet and sugary with a hint of strawberry in the background -from the website.

This one is pretty sweet as well but I do like it better then Tiffany D, it's not as sickeningly sweet and fake smelling.

Pumpkin Pickin'-   A french vanilla cream pudding slightly caramelized with hints of pumpkin spices.- from the website.

One thing I thought was really nice was that they sent me a scent shot for free, which was Pumpkin Pickin'. I love when companies do that, it is always a nice touch. I have yet to burn it but it smells like a spicier pumpkin scent. I know once I burn it though I think it will smell more sweet

Other Points
--I want to mention that if youare going to order from Victoria, dont judge the candle before you burn it. They do smell a little different/better. Notes that you cant smell in the un-melted wax, you can once melted

--The only thing that really sux is the shipping. Yeah the candles are great and fairly priced but 8 something for shipping kills me. Either way I am really pleased with my purchase and will make another purchase eventually. I think I may get more candles than tarts but the tarts are so cheap and worth it lol.

--Something I noticed was the candle wax itself which is rather....waxy, for lack of a better word. I actually spilled some of my tart (oops!) and when I was cleaning it up, it was rather hard to deal with.

--Overall, I like the candle/scent shots but I can't say they top my beloved Slatkin and Co. lucky for me, Slatkin is readily available but I do like Victoria's Candles alot so next time I need a change up im going to order more from her for sure

--CBV is on the same level when it comes to the throw of the candle. We can smell her candles from a mile away (not literally), which I really love. Her candles are also really cheap, I honestly think she could be charging more, but luckily for us, she doesn't! If you are contemplating on ordering, I say go for it.

Have any of you ordered from CBV? What scents did you get?

as always, thanx so much for stopping by!

Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra! Christmas Tag! and pictures

This is a tag and a picture post! Enjoy

1. Favorite Christmas Movie? Obviously by the title, my all time favorite Christmas Movie is the Christmas Story! It has always been a tradition to watch it all day long on Christmas day. Where ever we went, it was on. I still leave it on till this day, I refuse to watch anything else! I do have others though. Ever since Elf came out, it has been one of my favorites. I remember the year it came out, I was a semior in high school and my best friend lived with me at the time and we were in our xmas jammies all day watching it, playing with our new foot bath we got for Christmas. Another one I have is Meet Me in St. Louis and I never realized it was a Christmas movie until recently. It does have some Christmas scene's in it but I never categorized it as one. My mumum (dad's mom) loved Judy Garland and I always watched it with her since I was little.I cannot leave out Bad Santa either. It's freaking hilarious

2. Are you on the Naughty list or the Nice list? I would say the Nice list because its about progress not perfection (:

3. Have you ever had a White Christmas? Yes, I live in Ohio! But honestly, we haven't had one in years. Lately it has started snowing in like February. It has been on the "fall weather" side during this time of year for like 6 years now. I remember when I was little I would pray for it to snow on Christmas every year, haha! Children's prayers are so jaded.

4. Where do you usually spend your holiday? I usually go my Uncle Mitch's house on my dad's sides on Christmas eve, because we are Italian and we celebrate with seafood on Christmas eve. On Christmas day, we usually stay home. This year we went to my Auni Lori and Uncle John's

5. Favorite Christmas Song!:  I like the song at the end of The Christmas Story! I just like any Christmas Music

6. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve? We open 1 but this year we didn't open 1.

7. What holiday tradition are you looking forward to most this year? I did my christmas cookies but that is what I was looking forward to. I did Cake Batter Fudge, Truffles w/ Butterfinger, Pop Rocks, Sprinkles and I put some of them in a hard chocolate shell and they are amazing by the way. I also did English Toffee and Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake? We have had the same fake Christmas tree since I was born. I don't know anything different.

9. What's your all-time favorite holiday food and holiday sweet treat? Favorite food would be Lobster on Christmas Eve and sweet treat are my Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons. I wish I could virtually send one to you

10. Be Honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better? I love the shopping and putting the gifts together and that lasts for at least 2 weeks. Once I get my presents, they are all opened in one day so I wanna say giving. But I am not being honest with you if I do not say that they are a true tie

11. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season? Not sure. I like being home but if my whole family and all my friends could go somewhere I would love to go somewhere Tropical

12. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably? Pro-Present wrapper! I wrapped the red polka dots and the blue polka dot w/ snow flakes ones!

13. Most memorable Holiday moment? When I was younger I would wake up at my mom's b/f's house with his daughter Tina and we would open up all of our stuff and it was seriously the best day of my life. Afterward, I would go to my Grandma's and get presents and play with my cousins then I would go to my Mumum's (dad's mom) and un-wrap all of those presents & play with my cousins. I was always a little sad once it was all over but I would usually stay the night at my mumum's and I remember always being exited for the full day and each year is memorable so I just always loved Christmas in itself

14. What made you realize the truth about Santa? Ha! When I was 6 or 7 I was suspicious about Santa so when it was my turn to sit on his lap I knew I was going to ask for nail polish! I asked for that because I didn't ask my mom and I wanted to see if I got it. When Christmas came, I un-wrapped all my presents and there was no nail polish to be found. I confronted my mom on the situation Christmas morning and she was speechless for a moment but then quickly reminded me that Santa goes to Mumum's and Grandma's house too. touché mom. Needless to say I didn't get any polish that year so that was when I knew he was fake.

This Sally Hansen's Strobe Light. For $2-$3 it is a great glitter polish. I needed around 3-4 coats to cover my whole nail which is awesome for so cheap.

15. Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them? I always make the same ones and I always try my best to stick to them. Save 20% of what I make (I accomplished that one) Lose weight and stay healthy (it was touch and go this year as you can see if you read my blog) I will have more this year but I am one of those people that write in journals, and make lists, document everything, brainstorm on my life and what I want to accomplish and all that so I will do a blog post about it. If you have read Smart Women Finish Rich then you know what I am talking about.

16. What's your favorite holiday drink? I have been making it almost every morning. Regular coffee with french vanilla cream, truvia, and candy cane hot cocoa mixed in. To mix it all together I take a candy cane and go to town! It is delicious

17. Candy cane or Gingerbread men? Candy Canes of course. I dont like Gingerbread men. I just like building the house but eating it is another thing.

18. What's the weirdest gift you've ever received? When I was like 18 or 19 I was re-doing my room so I told my bf that I wanted a white mirror. He got it for me but wrote all over it things like "damn girl you look good as fukc" and "your ass is sexy" when I opened it on Christmas day, my Grandma was there and I could have died. Also, It didn't go with my new decor in the least bit. It just looked trashy. *face palm*

19.  Have you ever made a snowman? Yes of course

20. What is your favorite winter fragrance? This year, it has been Candied Sugar Plum. Omg! I have wallflowers and candles galore in this house

21. What is at the top of your list this Christmas? The Naked Palette palette was at the top of my list and I got it! I am going to do a post of what I got this year! I gave good gifts and I got some great ones! so be looking out for that soon

Here's the rest of my Christmas....

Jewelmint came and I am going to do a review type of thing soon but I will just tell you that I am extremely impressed!

I ordered from ELF....

I love ELF. They are my favorite drugstore brand. It is the only store I have ordered from online more then once. Great products for great prices, you honestly cannot top ELF when it comes to those 2 variables. So here's what I got this time:

 Face
Blush
left: Pink Passion right: Tickled Pink

I ordered some Christmas Stuff, but I couldn't not buy myself anything! I have been obsessed with blush lately. I have this really pretty pale pink which is comparable to Benefit's Dandelion (which I dont have) but I have been on the hunt for something similar....I haven't found it yet but Tickled Pink is a little but more peachy, but it's still pretty.

Pink Passion is a little scary, which is why I got it. I dont have anything hot pink like this, so I thought it would be a fun edition to my collection. Both of these blushes are a bit chalky, but it's not much of a problem if you tap your brush a few times. I think they are worth every penny of the $3. I mean, like I said, you really cannot beat Elf when it comes to price/quality.

left: Pink Passion right: Tickled Pink

 Lips

Matte Lip Color in Natural- I have been wanting to try these Matte Lip Color things for awhile now, so I figured now would be the time. It came with alot of product, which is awesome for $3. Since it is just a fat lip liner, it works for both lining and filling in my lips. It isn't moisturizing in the least bit, which matte lip stuff usually isn't. It would be nice to find one that is, just sayin'

this is the product twisted all the way up, so you do get a lot of product.

as you can see, the product scraps up on the tube so that sux but it hasn't detached from the actual tube. so far so good, anyway.

Elf Essential Lipstick in Classy- One thing about Elf is the swatches they have on their website are never true to the color once you get it, if you ask me.I thought this lipstick was going to be much less pink, & more on the pale side but I was wrong. It is pretty, and since I usually dont buy deeper pinks (or anything deeper in general) I guess it is ok. I mean was a buck, yah no?  I heard it was a dupe for Mac's Angel and I personally dont think it is. Classy is too deep for comparison. Another thing I wanna note about this lipstick is that it smells like fruit juice. Another thing about this lipstick is that it is a lot more moisturizing then other lipstick's that I own, like Revlon's.

Elf Mineral Lipstick in Pouty Petal- This color is actually the exact same color as my lips, and that sux. I have really been wanting to try Runway Pink from the mineral line and I should have bought that one this time. Like I mentioned before, the swatches on the site differ from the real color. I think I like the essential's line of lipstick formula better then this one. This one is moisturizing as well, but I just like the scent/taste of the essential's one better. Other than that, I think they may be the same formula...only the Mineral lipstick is $5. I like the sleek look of this packaging better though.

as you can see from the picture, the lipsticks look like the exact same color. And in real life, they are extremely similar in the packaging.

as you can tell, they swatch much differently:
from top to bottom: Essentials Lipstick Classy, Mineral Lipstick Pouty Petal, Matte Lip Color Natural

That was my haul. I ordered from them during their cyber monday sale which was half off and also free shipping...sweet! All and all (along with a few Christmas things) I payed like $23. Not too shabby.

Have you guys order from them lately? What did you get good? What do you guys recommend next time I order?

As always, thanx so much fro reading and have a merry christmas

xoxo,
Erica

Christmas Shopping Guide: Dont Break The Bank

Hey babes! I am loving my Christmas edition on Meet Makeup, this being my favorite post so far. Like you all, I have been watching videos about the best presents and they are just mimicking each other...I wanted to share some great, fresh, cheap gift ideas that any beauty girl would be exited to get! How many times am I going to hear about the Clairsonic or the Naked palette for great presents? yahnowhatimean? To be honest, the Naked Palette (and the Clairsonic) are on my Christmas list, but I am thinking more along the lines on stuff that I am getting for others. By all means, send me that palette! But if your buying for everyone and their mothers (literally) like myself, you cannot afford a $50 present for everyone on your list, yah no? Here's some idea's that I came up with:

Box #1
for my cousin Caitlin, who is just a replica of me.
We love all the same things....I hope she's not reading....go away Caitlin!!
$16

Elf Brow Fix - I happen to love this little thing, and she is always wanting me to do her eye brows, so I thought this was the perfect present. $3

Elf Brow Stencils- This was how I really started learning the right angle/shape of my brows. Not every stencil is going to be for you, but I think this is a perfect jumping off point. $3 = $6 total

Rio Rumberry Lotion from B&BW- $1. everybody gets one. = $7

Bath Confetti- When I stopped at Ulta, I noticed they had a section where there was a bunch of stocking stuffers- cha ching! 5 things for $10 I heard someone say "it's just junk!" ...well, its not junk to me and if someone got me all that "junk", I would be thrilled! I got myself one too actually. $2 = $9 total

Festive Emery Board- Perfect for any aspiring nail technician. Got it at Bath & Body Works for $1 = $10

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pots & Pans- A silver color that matches the palette I got from WnW perfectly $3.50 = $13.50

Wet n Wild Trio in Spoiled Brat- I love this little trio and I know she is going to love it too $3 = $16.50

-truth is, is that I could have came up with a million things to get Cait, but I hope this will do (:

Box #2
for Erika at my work, im her Secret Santa
$8

Paris Amour: They had a sale the other day, 3 for $6 and it was a perfect chance to get some good minis! I grabbed a body spray, a lotion, and a body wash. = $6

Big Sexy Hair Hair Spray-  They were apart of the 5 for $10 at Ulta, so this was $2 = $8 total

Box #3
Punk Rocker
Kelly, my other cousin who loves cosmetics too! But shes your "anti-pink" type of girl. borderline rock star status (she's a teenager.)
$13

Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Pacific- Like I mentioned before, it was BOGO 1/2 off so they are originally $4.50 which make them around $3.50 each.

Wet 'n' Wild Blue Had Me at Hello - I think it matches Pacific perfectly, don't you? 6 pan WnW shadows are $4 = $7.50

ELF Cream Eye Liner in Teal- I have never tried ELF cream liner so I am hoping its good but I thought it made a perfect match to the blue/green theme going on in this gift box: $3 = $10.50

Bali Mango Lotion - $1 at Bath & Body Works = $11.50

Body Shimmer- Again, found this in the 5 for $10 bin at Ulta and jumped on it for $2 = $12.50

 Box #4
Bath Lover
For My Grandma, who loves her baths!
This is the more expensive present
$26
(for the rest of the post, please excuse these awful lighted pictures- today was a drag for lighting!)

B&BW Luxury Bubble Bath in Eucalyptus & Spearmint- My Grandma loves spearmint and the women deserves a luxurious bath just as much as the next person & I know she would never buy one for herself $17

Soak Bath Salts Lavender & Chamomile- I got them at Wal Mart for $5 = $22

Bath Bombs- This is a little youthful for my grandma but they were a buck and since I am putting together my own basket, I thought these would be great as an extra filler-upper. I got them at Wal Mart for $1.= $23

Loofah- $1 at a place called Deals around here.= $24

Basket- $1 at Target - I think I out-did myself with this gift basket! = $25

I also bought the cellophane, which are called "basket bags" (2 for $1) at Deals. If you dont have a deals, I think you can get them at any party supply store. ribbon ($1), & tissue paper ($1) at Deals for $1 each = around $26

Box #5
Candle Enthusiast
For Alex, my bfff.
She really only burns just regular candles so I thought this would be a cool idea to introduce her to a new way to indulge in candles.
$10
**I took this picture before I wrapped it up, but this will actually be in the cellophane (baggie) with a bow just like the bath gift**

Tart Warmer: $5- Wal-Mart. It will match her pink leopard/black zebra room pretty nicely.

ScentSational Tart in Zen $2 - Wal-Mart Again. I bought myself a frosted cupcake tart too- it's hot pink yum! =$7

Tea Lights- I bought a big bag at Deals for $2 and emptied more than half of them into her basket = $8

Cellophane (2 for $1 at Deals), ribbon ($1 at Deals), & Gift Basket ($1 at Target)= $10

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, I know I had fun putting all the gifts and blog post together! Happy Holidays

xoxo
