HairOTSummer & FOTD- Smoldering Plums All Over My Eyes

So I thought it would be fun to do a look using just what I got from Clinique a while back so here we go!
I have been doing alot of natural/neutral looks. I wanna do like a pink/purple one - yes guys pink can be complimenting!! So yeah I have pictures for that FOTD so I will be posting that later. For now, heres my: Smoldering Plums from Clinique look

Face: (in order)
  • Avon Healthy Makeup Mousse Foundation
  • Maybelline Superstay Concealer
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (I use the applicator it comes with! use it! not all applicators are useless!)
  • Laura Gellar Blush n Brighten in Honey Dipped
  • Mark. Just Pinched Cream Blush Tint in Peachy
  • Mark. Shadow in Biscotti (for a highlight)

Eyes: (in order)
  • YBF Automatic Eyebrow Pencil in Universal Taupe
  • Jesse's Girl Eyeshadow Primer
  • Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk - under brows, inner corner and inner 1st part of eye
  • Clinique Smoldering Plums palette's Twilight Mauve (lighter color) over where I applied Milk

 Lips-
  • I went with my favorite lip combo and lined my lips with a medium pink color
  • Nyx Matte Lip Color in Tokyo right smack in the middle of top and bottom lip- its a lighter color so it makes my lips look bigger
  • Maybelline Born With It lipstick

About my hippie braid- This was actually worn all morning and right before I took it out I wanted to capture the kodak/half fallen braid moment! lol, I used to work as a server in a restaurant and every day I was asked by every girl who worked there and had to have her hair up to do the hippie braid on them. I have found it is actually harder for me to do it on others. I do have a video camera, but its not the best- if you are interested in a how-to type thing I can set it up for you, because it's fairly easy- just have to practice
So there yah have it! I hope you guys like my look

Eye Look: Bronzed Kiss

Hey ladies! Happy Sunday! can you believe I meant to post this last week, thought I did and then realized I didn't- I put the look on Beautylish and totally forgot about my main squeeze! (aka my blog)
Its nothing too dramatic and thats why I have been loving it for the day time. I never use brown liner and for this look, I did- I think it is perfect for a beautiful summer day when you dont wanna be too dramatic, and for me I very well can be!- cute and toned down. plus bronzed makeup I think is the quintessential color for summer- I hope you all enjoy it!

Eyes:
Jesse's Girl Eye Primer
Stila Shadow in Coco for brows
Avon Smooth Minerals Shadow Stick in Limestone as highlight
Mark. Shadow pan in Cocoa Puff:
- Lightest shadow for all over lid
- Medium for crease and outer corner
- Darkest for liner on lid
Smashbox offset Shadow Converter (to create the liner from the darkest shade)-
quick tip: Visine works the same way the shadow converter does!
Almay Dial Up Mascara on the first dial, I just put mascara on the tippy tip of lashes
Avon Glimmer Sticks Liner in Brown Sugar  in water line

I didn't have any pictures of my face with this! Oh well, The day I took this pic I wore this & went to the post office and then went bike riding on the trail

here's a little pic I took of some of the makeup I used for my look- I have been experimenting with photography and have really been loving it!

Channeling Kourtney Kardash: London Fog & Tangerines: FOTD

Hey Beauties! I did my makeup like this last night for a night out! Hope you enjoy! I love this look, it is a smokey eye look which was inspired by the promo pics for Kardashian's new season (6) that Kourtney took- I love how she did the bright lip and the dramatic eye...I cant just pick one yah no! I think it is appropriate for the night-time so I had a lot of fun creating this look. I re-discovered the taupe color I used for the medium shadow color, I love it- it's Mark. London Bridge which is think was unfortunately a limited edition color from the Flip For It's they did a couple years back, the London Bridge was (obviously) in the london palette. It looks silver in the pan, but as soon you swatch it or use it, the color is a really pretty taupe/gold color.

Face:
  • Revlon Colorstay Foundation
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
  • Physician's Formula Cashmere Bronzer
  • Mark. Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Peachy

Eyes:
  • Avon Smooth Minerals Jumbo Pencil in Limestone on brow bone
  • Mark. Keep It Going Long Wear Liner in Entourage- I tight-lined & lined upper lid
  • Almay Eyeliner Crayon in Black on waterline
  • Milani Brow Fix Kit for Brows
  • Almay Dial Up Mascara (black)
  • Jesse's Girl Eye Shadow Primer, I reviewed
  • NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Shadow:
  • Lightest Color: (White) Mark. Rebel on ball of eyes, on brow bone, & near tear ducts
  • Medium Color: (Antique Taupe) Mark. London Bridge in crease, in the outer corner and the inner corner
  • Darkest Color: (Black) Mark. Corset in outer corner of eyes. Also lined underneath eye.

Lips:
  • Avon Ultra Color Lipstick in Tangerine and I also lined my lips with it using the pointy part of the lipstick

CVS - %75 off! Hurry - Go Now!

Before you go...check out what I got! Lot of really expensive things for cheap! cha ching! haha but for real guys, my bill was $21.37- John Frieda, Essie, Almay, Sally Hansen- great products for a great price. I am so exited to get on with it and share it with everybody! This is the stuff I live for! Im sucha dork- (:

  • Essie Sand Tropez (nude) and French Affair (pink) I paid $3.89 for each and I saved $3.90...I love these pretty pale colors I cannot get enough of them! I never bought Essie polishes before because I just thought they were a little expensive, so I was exited to try these out- esp. the Sand Tropez. I dont have any other color like it. Really pretty and different- its nice to change it up once and a while!
  •  I also got the Sally Hansen in Yellow Kitty (paid $1.95 and saved $5.84) and I have been wanting to try it forever ever since I seen it on MissGlamorazzi's cupcake nail tutorial I thought it was really pretty- I actually posted it here I like this because it is a pastel as opposed to a true bright yellow - I dont like the bright yellows and if your into the pastel nails - this color is for you! Trust me, the picture of Yellow Kitty on my nails doesn't do it any justice. I dont think I have seen any other yellow like this yet anywhere- and *trust* I have been looking!

  • Sally Hansen Continuous Treatment Hardening Formula for soft thin nails. I have my avon nail hardener which comes off much more liquidy- which is a surprisingly great formula- then this one does. I have tested this nail hardener and I am on the fence with this one- I might review it if I do see any positive changes. This formula is time-released so maybe im not giving it enough time...I dunno. The promise is that it will provide nourishment and transform nails for 10 continuous days. it's been 2 days so far and I unfortunately don't see or feel change a huge change, like the Avon one however, I only paid $2.47 and saved $7.42! so it was nice to try it out anyways. For the $2.50 I paid, It's not bad at all

John Frieda Collection Luxurious Volume Full Splendor Conditioner- This was not part of the %75 off sale this was $7.29 but they have a deal right now for some John Frieda products that are $2 off so I paid $5.29. I have been hating my Tresemme conditioner- I feel like it weighs down my hair and makes it greasy after only a day or so, so I really wanted to try something different. My main thing when it comes to my hair is volume...I gotta have it! The promise John Frieda makes is that it "builds fullness at the roots; strengthens and conditions (lets hope so on the conditions part!) where needed for silky, full bodied hair." My hair tends to split at every single end of my top layer and in turn makes my top layer ends really frizzy! So I have high hopes for this-

Almay mascara One Coat Dial Up and Liner - for $2.12 bucks! what?!? I saved $6.37 with this! yay! I always need a new mascara and I was running low on liner so this was perfect. The brush for the mascara im not too fond of. at almost a buck a piece I really cannot complain. I personally like the first setting (there are 3 settings) on the mascara just because the higher the number goes, the more the mascara packs on to the brush...which means spider lashes...no. I really believe it is all about the brush, and it was a miss with this one. I do have really long lashes and what I look for in a mascara is a thicker wand with smaller "fingers" if you know what I mean...I hope. Regardless, not bad for two bucks. The liner is fine as well. Nothing special, but nothing horrible.

thats my haul- what did everybody else get at CVS? if you didn't get anything or didn't hear of the sale until now- go shopping and then come back and tell me EVERYTHING lol jk- but no seriously...do it
