Stila Dancing With the Stars Kit Review

While shopping for Christmas presents, I knew I really wanted to buy the Lorac Pro Palette. Well, Ulta was out of it and wasn't getting it back for weeks. Thinking I wasn't even going to buy anything, I stumbled upon this kit. I love kits. This kit couldn't have been more perfect for me. It was only $15! Chump change, compared to this kit.

Dancing With the Stars Eye and Cheek Palette
The big show. This little palette comes with 7 shadows {3 mattes and 4 shimmers} and one blush. The blush {Perfect 10} is a matte peachy brown blush with chunks of glitter in it. I think it makes a great all in one blush and contour powder because of that. Once applied, the glitter either isn't noticeable.

As I mentioned in the video, I have been really wanting to try some of Makeup Geek's matte eye shadows. The matte shadows in this palette look extremely similar to a few of them. The 3 mattes are Sway {a deep brown with purple/red undertones} Action {a light creamy color} and Ovation {a warm toned brown}. If Ovation had some glitter in it, it would be the exact same color as Perfect 10 {the blush}

As for the shimmery colors, there is Take a Bow which is very similar to Kitten only a few shades darker. It's a pretty champagne color. Rise and Fall is very similar to Sway. They look different in the pan but honestly there isn't much of a difference. Sway {matte} is more pigmented than Rise and Fall {shimmer} when swatched. Other than that and with the exception of a little bit of purple glitter in Rise and Fall, they look almost identical when swatched. Glam, a gorgeous antique coppery brown shimmer and is the most pigmented of the bunch. Pirouette is a pretty shimmery red brown with glitter.

here's some swatches. I contemplated re-doing these swatches because this photo doesn't do any of the shadows justice but just remember that these are swatched once over with my finger- no primer underneath. Glam is the most pigmented and the rest are pretty much tied. Action has as much pigment as the rest but looks invisible only because it is very close to the color of my skin. They don't have as much pigment when swatched as, let's say, Kitten. But when your applying them to your eye, they work out great.

 Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick
Fiery
This really sealed the deal for me. When I got my Be A Bombshell Hot Damn Lip Crayon {a bright red}  in my Ipsy Bag, that was all I wore for weeks. This red is much more deep and vampy. It leans a little to the cool side. I would have never been able to tell if it didn't make my teeth look white. If a red lipstick makes your teeth appear whiter, you know there has to be a blue tone to it even if you can't really tell. A little goes a long way and I have trouble keeping it inside the lines, as you can see. If I use just a little bit right in the center, then blend it out with my fingers using no lip liner it seems to work even better. But without a lip liner, it tends to get a little blotchy. So yeah its a lose lose situation. I personally do not mind re-applying or wiping it off in the middle of the day because I really love the color. Looking at these photos, im not sure it looks as great as I thought it did, heh.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner
 Lion Fish
For years, up until last summer all I ever wore in my water line was black eye liner. Since I went blonde, I have started going towards brown eye liners. This eye liner is a medium brown with red shimmer making it appear a brick red brown color in some lights. When you apply it, it makes no difference and just looks brown. If anything, the shimmer maybe adds some depth. I already knew I loved Stila's Smudge Stick eye liner's. I like to line the outer bottom corner with it (using a nude liner in the waterline) and using this also in the upper inner rim. It has great pigment and stays put. I don't have to worry about it running down my face. The water-proof claim is true to that extent. I have yet to jump in the pool with it so I don't know if its that water-proof.

Stay All Day 10 -in -1
HD Illuminating Beauty Balm
As for this little thing, I can't really say i've tried it. Im really not into BB creams and would prefer a matte finish as opposed to an illuminating finish. I think im going to give it to some one that would actually use it. Sorry bout that. ( :

It has been I think years since I've done a FOTD. I thought this would a perfect opportunity because I wear these things on my face daily since I bought them {with the exception of the BB cream}. So here I blended Action all over the lid up to the brow bone. Ovation in the crease. Take a Bow on my lid. Sway in the outer corner and Sway blended with Glam in the outer 3rd of the lid as well as on the outer third of the bottom lash line. I used Lion Fish {eye liner} on the outer half of the bottom lash line underneath the eyeshadow and as well as in my upper inner rim. Stila Liquid Lipstick in Fiery on the lips over top Mary Kay's Lip Liner in Raspberry.

These has been truly my favorite makeup items for the past couple of weeks. It was only $15 at Ulta for everything {that is a steal} and if they have some left, you gotta try it out! If you love neutral shadows and matte shadows, this is perfect. The liquid lipstick, eye liner, and BB cream are all extra's. The palette alone is worth the $15. The smartest $15 I have spent in months when it comes to beauty items. Make sure to check out the video because not only am I talking about this kit, I also talk about a few things I bought at the CVS beauty clearance too!

until next time,
xoxo

2012 Besties Awards

I came up with this catchy name for this short little series I am doing on my favorite products from 2012. There may not be something from every category, but each one of these things I have used and loved all last year. A lot of times, I get swept up in brand new products and love them to death for the first couple weeks {honeymoon phase} then they seem to fall by the wayside. Everything in the Besties Awards have been long lasting romances throughout the whole year. These are things I go back to time and time again.

Best Setting Spray
Urban Decay De-Slick:
I have tried the All Nighter Setting Spray from Urban Decay and ELF's Setting Spray and this one was my favorite. Surprisingly, I have dry and oily skin. I found that De-Slick made my makeup last longer than any of them and gave my face a nice matte finish. I used this during the summer too and it was a life saver! Here's the full review.

Best Concealer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment:
Maybelline's concealers are a long time favorite. This concealer is perfect for underneath the eyes. It is really thin but gives full coverage and seriously brightens underneath my eyes. The only down side is that the packaging on mine is broken so I have to work at it to twist up more product. If your looking for a good concealer for both under the eyes and on dark spots/pimples, try Maybelline's 24/7 Concealer.

Best Foundation
Revlon Color Stay:
I have tried so many foundations in the past couple of years and I always end up going back to this. Nothing is as full coverage as Color Stay. When they say color stay, they mean it! It dries rather quickly so blending it right away is a must. Once it is actually set, it makes my skin look flawless and gorgeous and covers everything and will stay put all day long.

Best Highlight
ELF Radiance Enhancer in Spotlight:
Another thing from the Holy Grail page. This is one of those highlighters that have a duo-chrome finish. I wouldn't say this is glittery, instead shimmery. When it hits the light, it really does radiate. For $3, it really doesn't get any better. The packaging is sleek, it has a brush tip applicator, and is really creamy and extremely easy to blend. Any beginner wanting to dive into the whole contour/highlight process, this would be a perfect place to start. I want to do an updated review and demo using both colors ELF has to offer on the Radiance Enhancer range. Coming Soon (: For now, grab yourself a Radiance Enhancer. You won't regret it!

Best Bronzer/Contour Powder
Laura Gellar Baked Blush n Brighten in Honey Dipped:
I got this in my Birch Box in June of 2011 and it was the sole best thing I have ever received in any box. Even though it has shimmer in it, I find it to be the perfect contour powder for me. Any matte contour powder or bronzer I have tried just looks really tacky and muddy next to my fair skin. In the summer time, this is the perfect all over bronzer because I am a little bit darker. The powder is really nice and is easy to blend. After the 2 years I have had it, it is still my absolute favorite bronzer and I use it more than any other one I have. I have yet to even think about hitting the pan. Talk to me in 2015. Maybe I will hit pan then. Probably not. I have swatched this before here

Best Blush
YBF Golden Gleam Bronzer & Baby Pink Blush Duo:
The bronzer side is nice, yes, but I want to pay tribute to the blush side. This is the blush I kept on going back to all year last year and will most likely continue to do so in 2013. When ever I can't make my mind up, this is my go to blush. It is such a pretty shimmery baby pink color that creates this beautiful flush on my cheeks. The phrase "lit from within" was made for this blush. I don't hear much about YBF Beauty but the company is a diamond in the rough! Check out HSN. They sell YBF (which is where I purchased it) value kits for a really good prices. Here's everything I got in my value kit when I ordered along with swatches of this duo. It's a really good blog post.

Best Eyeshadow
 Stila Eyeshadows
Yes, I own the Naked Palette and it's great and all, but not as great as the Stila eye shadows I own. The lighter shades in the Naked Palette aren't as pigmented as Kitten from Stila . Same thing goes for the matte shades. Stila's Kitten is my absolute favorite eye shadow in the world and thats because it doesn't take much to get pigment on my eyes. All of the Stila eye shadows I own are always so velvety, creamy and pigmented and I almost always use at least 1 of them on a daily basis. Here's a swatch I did of Kitten, Terracotta + JezebelI would gladly do a blog post on my full Stila eye shadow collection. Those swatches are old. I can do a better job! Let me know if your interested.

Best Eye Liners
Any of the Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips
I picked these because they are the only drug store eye liner I used in 2012 that stayed in my water line the whole day and kept the pigment and didn't run down my face. I actually had a lot to say about these, so check out the review I did for them a couple days ago. You can also find swatches there too.

Best Mascara
Physician's Formula Organic Wear
I did a full review complete with pictures of the brush and it on my lashes. Check it out.

Top 10 Nail Polishes and Favorite Lip Products deserve their own separate blog post. Otherwise this blog post would be way too long! It might be labeled "Bestie's Award's" and it might not be. It depends on how long it takes me to get them up (: Don't worry! It will only take a couple weeks, tops.

What was your favorite product from last year?
Would you be interested in a Stila eyeshadow collection blog post?

Favorite Champagne Eyeshadows

My favorite color - out of any color - of eyeshadow is absolutely champagne. It is the perfect lighter color all over the lid, in my opinion. I have hooded eyes so I need all the help I can get with bringing the lid part of my eye out. Even you don't have hooded lids, you have to love champagne shadows. Any skin tone/color can wear champagne.

I picked out 3 of my favorite champagne eye shadows that are all that and a bag of chips! (wtf...i should delete that last sentence. But I obviously didn't) 2 are creams and 1 is powder.

 Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten
This is the best eyeshadow color in the world. I don't just mean the best champagne eyeshadow. It is the best eyeshadow. If you haven't tried Kitten, you really need to. Once you do, I know you will feel the need to always have it in your collection. Kitten is silky to the touch, has incredible pigment which in turn gives incredible color pay off. Even when I have a much deeper, more vibrant eyeshadow color anywhere else in my eye look, Kitten always gives it a run for its money. Not that you have 2 bold eye colors competing, giving your eye look a tacky feel. That is why I love it. It has vibrancy with also being neutral (am I making sense? lol). It really highlights the eye nicely because of that. If you have hooded lids like me and wear this on the lid, it brings them out beautifully. Even though I never thought I would have a holy grail eye shadow, this one is making the page.

Jouer Cream Shadow in Feather
This formula has a really silky feel to the touch and it leaves an extremely thin layer of product to where it is applied without compromising the color payoff. This is a good point if you have oily eye lids as you know the more layers you add, the more likely your eyeshadow is to crease. Feather would work beautifully as a face highlight because of that and also because it blends like a dream. Even though I wear this as a base under other similar eyeshadow colors (Kitten!), I dont recommend it without a primer as it will crease like crazy. Even though it is thin, there usually is no getting around it without a primer. I apply it with my fingers and it works like a dream.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige
If you haven't heard about the Color Tattoos I have one question: where have you been? Unlike its higher end counterpart, Barely Beige (or any other Color Tattoo) will work wonderfully as a base for another eyeshadow on top to make it pop more, and as a primer. I haven't had any problems with it creasing as long as im not globbing it on. It has more of a creamy feel than a silky feel, and the formula is more thicker than Feather. On top of using it as a primer and a base, it works well on it's own. A life saver when I am in a hurry and want to kill lots of birds with one stone.

Both Maybelline's Barely Beige and Jouer's Feather are almost the same when it comes to color. You will see in the swatch how they differ. If you have been wanting Feather but have Barely Beige, save your money! If you can't find Barely Beige any longer, look to Jouer for Feather. They have them on the Birchbox website (where I got mine!) and if you rack up your points you can get it for free.

Top: Maybelline Barely Beige. Bottom: Jouer's Feather.

when you see the swatches, please know that there is a reflection and both cream shadows reflect light like crazy, so in some lights they look as is and in others they look the same.

A quick overview of some of my favorite champagne eyeshadows that will double and triple as face highlights, primers, & bases.

short. sweet. to the point.

whats your favorite champagne eyeshadow? Would love more recommendations!

Birchbox Freebies!

Can you believe I got $50 worth of great products for free?! I have been saving up my points for over a year now so needless to say, I had a bunch to spend. If you were unsure about how the Birchbox point system works here's a quick breakdown:

  • 10 points = $1
  • you can spend your points in $10 increments

           How can you get points?
  • For each Birchbox you buy = 10 points (even one's you gift!)
  • For each item you get in your box and give feedback on = 10 points

Honestly, it may be my favorite part about Birchbox. You can buy anything on their website with your points. If you have enough points, it will even pay for shipping too! Here's the stuff I purchased was sent! for free! I am sorry, I just love the concept!

Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleanser: I have oily/dry skin. It just all depends. I had a feeling I was going to love it considering they went to the ends of the Amazon River to find White Clay for it. Amazonian clay can actually help with both dry and oily skin so this seemed perfect. It sounds fancy! LOL! It Exfoliates and Detoxifies as well.

My review: I do love exfoliators but I don't want something to be too abrasive on my face considering my skin can also be sensitive at times as well. This cleanser has very tiny exfoliant's in it and was comfortable washing my face. The exfoliant's in it are even tinier than Proactiv's exfolitant's, if you have ever used Proactiv.

Considering this face wash is a clay, I was expecting something less creamy for some reason. It comes out as a clay, then when you start washing your face the clay turns into a milky, soapy face wash. It is really nice! Once I dry off my face I do notice how soft and smooth (& clean!) my skin is and I have really been liking this! Dare I say- It rivals Proactiv any day!

Stila Eyeshadow in Jezebel: If you have seen my Rose Gold post, you would have already seen this eyeshadow. I really love it! I already knew I was going to as Stila eyeshadow's are my favorite to begin with. I have been loving adding this in my crease with a matte cream color on my lid. pretty

Dr. Hauschka's Radiant You Kit: This was the thing that I couldn't decide on when I was ordering everything. The lavender bath isn't for a bath, it's actually to use in conjunction with everything else for a spa like facial. I will be doing a demo or a review at some point because there's something to it. For know if your contemplating trying this out, I say got for it! It's a nice treat!

Are you all signed up for Birchbox?
Have you gotten anything with your points?

Have a fab day!
thanks for reading!

Current Obsession: Rose Gold!

I am most likely not the only one obsessed with everything rose gold. Even though all I can do is lust over a Micheal Kors watch, and other rose gold jewelry, we can all still find it in cosmetics! I have put together a couple of rose gold beauty products that have been hiding right under my nose the whole time.

Stila Eyeshadow in Jezebel: I just got this for free with my Birchbox points! I love Stila eyeshadows. They are so silky with beautiful pigment. This shadow will not disappoint if your looking for a way to wear the rose gold trend on your eyes. This is a medium pink/copper color, aka rose gold. I have heard this be compared to Expensive Pink by Mac.

Nyx Jumbo Lip Pencil in Brown: This should not be named Brown. It should be named Rose Gold. That is what this color is exactly! I haven't tried the jumbo lip pencils until this one and I must say I like it quite well! It is somewhere in between a lip gloss and lipstick. I think the medium pink with a slight metallic sheen color makes it pass as a true rose gold lip product.

Avon Slick Tint in Glossy Rose: Personally, for less than $1 these blow the Revlon Lip Butters out of the water! It has about the same pigment as a Lip Butter in that it has a tint. Not to be confused with a lipstick. That aside, it has a strange smell. Nonetheless, leaves a rose gold tint to the lips. If your looking for a subtle way to wear the trend I say go for this baby!

Avon Mirror Shine Nail Polish in Blaze: I have had this forever. aside from the color, the formula is peculiar. Your first coat can be your last as it is extremely opaque but it has the tendency to "flake" off, if you will. I recommend a top coat, as usual. It definitely has a metallic finish with shimmer making it pass, in my book, as rose gold. This I got in the clearance book a while back so they may or may not still have these for sale. You can always check Ebay or Amazon! I have 2 other Mirror Shine polishes if your interested in seeing them all, let me know.

Here's your swatchadoodles:

Have you been jumping on the rose gold bandwagon?

30 Day Beauty Challenge: Day 1-4

#1: Your Wardrobe: This is easy enough. We live in an old farm house, FYI. So my closet is shaped quite weird. I hang up dresses, blouses, sweaters, cardigan's & the like on a hanger. The shelf above that I keep: pants, jeans, jeggings, cami's, & other tops that wont be ruley on a hanger! I have a part for belts, scarves, & bags. Then most of my shoes go in the holder. The clothes I wear often are most likely in a basket, which means they are not in the closet- I keep "clean-worn clothes" in it because I am too lazy to hang everything up every single day. (: - too lazy to blog? never.  I guess I just have fucked up priorities

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#2 A Scent You Can't Live Without: Victoria's Secret's Sexy Little Things. It's not just this scent. My other favorites are Ralph by Ralph Lauren & Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton. all 3 of these scents have every note in common with one another. Fruit on the top. Floral's in the middle. & the bottom note is usually musk. For fun I am going to list the scent description for each perfume:

In common with Ralph Lauren In common with Paris Hilton In common with Sexy Little Things In common w all 3

Victoria's Secret's Sexy Little Things: japanese osmanthus, apple, water lily. honeysuckle, jasmine, lotus. iris, musk, cashmere wood.

Ralph Lauren's Ralph : apple, japanese osmanthus, italian mandarin. magnolia, boronia, yellow freesia. musk, white iris.

Paris Hilton's Paris Hilton:  melon, apple, peach . freesia, lily, lily of the valley, mimose. tuberose,  jasmine. sandal wood, musk, oakmoss, ylang ylang.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#3 Something You've Never Worn Before: My makeup item is Coastal Scents Camo Quad. It is to cancel out certain colors on your face. I bought it for the green color, to cancel out my redness. All it did was make my face green. It barely covered up any redness. It is much easier to just conceal the redness. I am still looking for a way to use this little quad. And thing is that they are very pigmented & creamy! Maybe I can use them as an eyeshadow. In fact, I think I will.

#3 My clothing item doesn't have a good reason. I bought it on sale from Wet Seal about a year ago (maybe 2 years ago) and I never wear it! It is really cute too. I like the flower detail on the back. I like the way it fits too. I think I will wear it this week. Problem solved!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#4 Your Favorite Color Eyeshadow: This changes all the time but I have loved Stila's Kitten since I got it. It is a really nice champagne color. Depending on the way the light hits it, it can become a mid-toned gold. I probably wear this color on my lid every day. Over any other lighter color I have, actually. I love this color. Not to mention it is so easy to apply. It feels like silk.

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are doing this Challenge, let me know in the comments so I can check it out! If you just found out about it, no need to feel like you missed out, just start when ever and link me up!

January Birchbox Review

Hey guys! So if your new and wondering why I am talking about last month's Birchbox, I will fill you in. I was a little tired of just hauling the boxes that I thought I could do more of a review and be much more beneficial to the blogging world. Instead of me talking about my expectations for the things in my box, I would have had enough time to try them out to see what I think. This is also a motivating factor for me to actually try everything in my box and use it to the last drop. Let's get started, shall we?

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray: ($20) Stila is quickly becoming my favorite high end brand and this product did not disappoint! The only color liner I use is black- for the most part, anyway.. I really don't like brown and I will try purple every once in a while on my lid but my waterline is always black. This liner is really unique. A really dark greenish color with green specks of glitter in it. I find it is a great alternative to brown for me. When im in the mood for something different, this has been fitting the bill. I do find that it can start to smudge off of the water line after a few hours.  It goes on smoothly on the lid, and doesn't really budge there once applied.

However, I do have one complaint! It is really hard to twist up and once it is twisted up, you cannot put it back down. When I first received it, I immediately called Birchbox to let them know I got the liner tube and package, but no liner. I felt really stupid even admitting it to the B-box rep. She then made me feel better telling me they had the issue of twisting the liner up and even went so far to tell me they had to call Stila to ask how to use the liner. Was she just trying to be nice? I don't think so......maybe? Whatever, once I figured out how to use it, it was good to go from there. It can be a pain from time to time though.

Jouer Body Butter: ($32) I think if anybody were to own this body butter, it would be Lisa Vanderpump. It is extremely luxurious considering it's nice frosted glass packaging, extremely creamy consistency, and light, floral scent. I think this was nice to sample because I am so used to my overbearing, so-good-you-can-eat-it Bath & Body Works butters (which I love) I never really go for anything else. I probably will not be re-purchasing it because B&BW is easier to access and easier on the wallet. I do feel rich when I have Jouer's on though. I am probably not making any sense. These are my weird thoughts. If I can help just person with this paragraph, I have done my duty (: On a more mature note, I do want to mention that, out of any body butter's I have ever tried, this one is the least bit greasy. It is actually not greasy at all, as some butter's can be. I really love that the most about it. I don't get my keyboard all messy a minute or 2 after putting it on. It is just straight moisture. Im giving it a 5/5 because of that. It's just that price. ouch.

Borghese Curaforte Moisture Intensifier: ($67) I got my Birchbox around the same time my Proactiv Face Brush came and I started using them both and after a week or so, my skin wasn't reacting well. It just seemed red and irritated so I back off of both the Borghese Curaforte and the Face Brush for a day or so for my skin to go back to normal. When I brought both back in, my skin actually got better then before both of them and I was really pleased!

This stuff is not only meant to moisturize your skin,  "it also helps your other products sink in more deeply so that active ingredients can perform more effectively. As if that weren’t enough, the lightweight formula boosts skin smoothness and clarity." (birchbox.com)

So I have been putting this on after my Revitalizing Toner (Step 2) & Before my Repairing Treatment (Step 3) following the rule of applying the light product first, and heavier products after. The consistency of the Borghese Curaforte is a very runny serum. I found out that applying them in this order really made this stuff work 10x better! (Before hand I was apply the serum after all 3steps and I didn't notice much of a difference) First off, it really made my skin extremely soft. What I mean by soft is I used to have very small pimples that would never go away and it has smoothed them out to what are becoming non-existent. I also do think it is helping my other products (Proactiv, esp. step 3) work even more effectively. I do have acne prone skin and Proactiv has always made my skin manageable, but with this added in my skin is even better. I have really liked this stuff.

Here's an awesome article about How To Layer Skin Care I found on Birchbox.com

LaraBar in Chocolate Peanut Butter: I like Larabar's, but don't love them. I am not a fan of alot of nuts and such. This bar was the best bar I have ever had! I ate it in the middle of the night and the next day went to my local health food store to see if they had any of the flavor in stock...they didn't. They asked if I wanted to buy a whole box of the flavor for $30 (16 bars) that they would order for me. I can't spend $30 on freaking Larabars, but wish I could have. I don't have an original picture to show you, I hope this one will do. credit

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy: I thought it was a really nice fragrance. This is right up my alley. If you guys like a fresh summer time scent, you'll love it. I am just going to read right off of the package for the description:
~
Wild Berries & Mandarin.
Honeysuckle, Gardenia, & Jasmine.
(^^would go perfect with Jouer body butter!^^)
Amber, Caramel, Vanilla,
Sandalwood, & Praline.
~

There's my birchbox from Jan in review form. I do hope you guys like this type of take on it. For the most part, I usually love everything in my birchbox. Maybe not everything is a total hit but I usually like the majority of my box. Last month I really loved everything. be on the look out for this months (feb) birchbox post, next month! So far, im not really impressed but I will fill you in soon enough!

Have you guys had a chance to try everything in your box? What do you think?

thank you guys for reading!

yours truly,
Erica

January Favorites

So much good stuff this month! I couldn't narrow it down because I am crazy pants (Snookie reference) and I have beauty/fashion/fragrance/bath: the works! I am going to be doing a separate fashion faves in a fews days so BOLO for that. I guess with all my Christmas stuff and all of the after holiday sales, I out did myself. Wanna see my favorites? k!

Be Enchanted body spray from Bath&Body Works. I haven't been this obsessed with any of B&BW scents (excluding candles) since I purchased Dark Kiss. This actually is really similar to Dark Kiss but this one is more fruity. I can tell you that Be Enchanted is more of a spring scent in comparison to Dark Kiss. If you like Dark Kiss, try this. Bath & Body Works scent description:

"Frosted florals sweetened with sparkling, sugared pomegranate inspired by all that glitters"

Nuxe Dry Oil: I got this in my December Birchbox and recently reviewed it here with a little more detail. But I really love it as a highlight for my face. It doesn't irritate my skin at all and that has something to do with the "dry" part. You shake it up before you use it. Look how neat it looks before you do so:

Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten: There is a lot of hype around this eyeshadow, and when Stila was having their sale in December, I grabbed this for $4! Obviously it came broken and I just got my new unbroken one in the mail like 2 days ago. They forgot about me until I emailed them again. Oh well, the point is that it is just so pretty. It goes with any color, honestly! I love using this as my highlighting color. Extremely pigmented. *Love*

China Glaze Lorilei's Tiara: I did a NOTW about this polish. It is so pretty! It caught my eye as soon as I walked into the store. It has small silver glitters with bigger blue glitters every now and again. The best thing about this polish? I can get away with one coat! It covers my whole nail! I always do 2 coats, yah no, just in case. If im in a hurry, im good with one. I also love it because dry time is like 1 minute or 2.

Bath & Body Works Pocket Bac in Chocolate Chip Cookie Lunch Box Edition: I got this for 25 cents during their Hello Yellow sale after Christmas and I wanted to grab all of their "lunch box" ones. They had juice box, PB&J sandwich, and a couple others and I am actually not sure why I didn't but this one was different then those ones because it was chocolate and I do not how they do it but it smells like freaking chocolate chip cookies! Just like a chocolate chip cookie. it has the bakery cookie smell along with a little bit of chocolate- it's too cool. I can't get over it. With a candle, I can kinda see how they make the scent exact but with antibacterial, I don't get it.

Bodycology Body Scrub in Hazelnut: What drew me to it was the way it smelled. I am usually not a fan of nut scents or even hazelnut for that matter. When I opened this up in the store my nose went hay wire! It smells so delicious- like a breakfast pastry on steroids. The smell alone will make this a monthly favorite but that is just the start of it. I have been using this every time in the shower and it just really makes my skin so smooth. I love exfoliates and I wanna go as far to say I cant live without them, but honestly, I can live without them I just really love them. This one smells exceptionally good and I think I actually like it better then my expensive C.O. Bigelow scrub. Just throwing that out there.

Slatkin & Co Candle in Hot Chocolate: You guys know I love candles and I have a new favorite every month and this month it is definitely Hot Chocolate. It's funny because it does smell like chocolate and I usually do not like chocolate candles but this one is just so delicious! It smells very up scale, bakery like. I don't want them to do away with it for the summer! here's the scent description, which is spot on:

Food:
please excuse my unoriginal picture as my bf ate all my Krave! They are that good!

Have you guys tried this Krave cereal? It's amazing! It is a crunchy shell but then has creamy chocolate in the middle. Since I am back on my healthy track, I needed something that was delicious, but also good for me. This is loaded with vitamins and the like and is a whole grain cereal. It even has more nutrient's then my Kashi Vanilla Island cereal which I found really surprising.Ill be doing a food type of blog post soon, showing everything I have been eating and <3ing for my healthy diet, along with nutrition facts.

Celestial Seasoning's Herbal Tea Sampler

I have been drinking sleepy time tea for years now & I will drink it any time of day because it is so delicious. It's taste's like peppermint and chamomile. Fruity tea's are ok, I make them every once and awhile, but all of these tea's in the Herbal Sampler are right up my alley. I really like every single one of them. Now, I don't have to drink Sleepy Time tea in the day time. I also really like mixing these in with just regular tea bags to boil a big pot and then chill it for a delicious iced tea.

Television
New season's of my favorite shows are on! I am just going to name a couple and not speak on them too much because it seems like me and the rest of the beauty community are on different wavelengths when it comes to tv. I really am not a fan of any of those CW shows. I dunno I cant get into them! I love reality shows things like Forensic Files and Lockup- docudrama's. Real stories. But I hate shows like CSI- the scripted drama's I do not like at all. Tell me if you love any of these shows:

RW/RR Challenge Battle of the Exes: My favorite team is CT & Diem - do you guys remember Diem? I love her! and CT too...he's pretty hot. Lemme know in the comments if you guys are exited for the new season!

Little People Big World: This show hasn't been on in a couple years and they just started back up again. I love that show im so happy it's back on! They are just such a good family with excellent moral's and values.

Dog The Bounty Hunter: I know! Everyone makes fun of me for watching Dog but seriously I love that show. And there is lots of family drama this season which is usually not included in the previous season's.

Kardashians: I know all you guys love them. I did a blog on Kardashian's a while back and it is the most read blog post on my blog. Out of the 11,196 visit's I have had on my blog, 743 of those are coming to read my Kardashian's post! isn't that crazy? So in that post I mentioned how I am not loving Khloe one bit and Kim was my favorite. In fact I didn't even really watch Khloe & Lamar.

This season of K&KTNYC (season 2) I do love Kim but she has been a bitch lately. I know she hates her husband or whatever but I have been with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years and we are still not ready for marriage. Even though were not married, we try our best to meet in the middle with dis-agreements. I still feel like I have a commitment to him even when we aren't getting along so well. After 2-3 months, she decided it isnt going to work (which is fine, that's her choice and im not knocking her for that) what makes me mad is her attitude about it. anyway, Khloe has been my favorite for this season and they are doing another season of K&L so I am actually exited to watch it.

I also thought I liked Kris H. before this season in NYC but since watching this, he is wayy too immature for Kim and doesn't deserve her....but if your going to get married I feel like you loved that person enough to try and make it work. Blech, Kris reminds me of this annoying kid I used to date when I 18....yeah, he's, well IDK how old he is, but certainly not 18!

Youtube:

I have my absolute favorites which I mentioned a couple favorites ago, but I recently discovered a new (for me) channel that is quickly becoming one of the first videos I click on in my YT feed. I have always read their blog and just never watched the videos. Her Late Night Cravings is so much fun to watch and what I love about them is that they are always hauling and talking about different things then I usually see. That is something I really love about them- they are really easy to watch and to get into. Check them out!
