A few topics that do not really fit with each other. But I had really no other way to bring it up and I dont want to make a blog post for each video. It would be too many videos and not enough actual blog post. Lucky enough for you, you will learn my favorite drugstore blushes, the brushes I like for those particular blushes, what things I bought recently, how to organize on a budget, and what to do with all of those empty Bath and Body Works candle jars all in one shot! Geez, this whole project took a while. The fact that it's almost 20 minutes long is hilarious considering I didn't even get to talk about every thing I wanted to. But, I do think you all will like this mini series I got goin' on. These videos are so me. I always think its fun to see a blogger convert into a vlogger. You think you know someone, but then you actually get to know them thru videos. Quirks, Voice, Mannerisms, whatever.
Even if you could care less about me, the stuff I am talking about is obviously awesome. I talk about some beauty products and also some spiritual type of stuff. The things I do to keep myself in check, be happy, and live a better life. All that stuff is in Part 2.
Let me know what you all think of this! I need to start getting on some sort of schedule when it comes to blogging and vlogging. Not sure what that schedule will be yet, but yah no. Im finally putting this up on the 12th of September which I think is a little late for a monthly favorites video.
I must ask you all, how do u stay on track? I am the one that plans out each and every day with a list that is separated hour by hour. But I am still behind. I had a great rhythm going at the beginning of the summer. That was when I lived at my mom's and life was simpler. Now I have my own place. Can I tell you how many bills I pay? That might be tacky but I feel like I am going to the bank every other day. And I am obsessively compulsively decorating my home that I call my own.....kind of. Philly lives here some times as does my Dad. But I pay the bills and I decorate how ever I want. So I am pretending it's all mine. The house also came with my dog growing up, Choochie's (choo-cheeee's). So there's that.
Ok so you guys, I am moving! I am like stressed to no end. I am such a brat because the cable company can't come and set up my cable and internet until Tuesday the 6th of August. I am stressed about that. What am I going to do without both of those things?! So yeah there might be a laspe of time for like a week where I can't upload videos and blog posts. I know, sad story. I am going to try and fill up MBB for the next couple days because I will miss you all too much! Don't worry, ill be back on the 6th.

As you know, I started venturing out into making videos and as of February, I purchased a Canon Rebel t3i for Photography and Filming. I have been shopping around ever since for a good editing program until I heard about Corel Video Studio Pro x6. They have a later version but Top 10 Reviews mentioned this one as the best of the best for 2013. I went to Best Buy to find out they didn't carry very many video editing programs. One of the Geek Squad guys told me that instead of purchasing it up front {you won't be able to return it if you don't like it} you can try it out for free for 30 days. No charge. They don't take any credit card info or anything like that. So, I signed up. I found that I am really liking it! After this trial, I may have to try the newer one if I am allowed.
I just went to Corel.com to try it out. DO NOT download it from anywhere else. Corel is a trusted site so be careful with anything else

When I started my blog over 2 years ago, I wanted to talk about makeup and feature mostly mark. makeup as I am a rep {I need to get get back on that! it was fun!} But it has turned into something else: My love for tweaking my blog, finding different html codes, filming, photography, marketing, editing, image manipulating {GIMP}, blog series and ideas, thinking up different content on all of the different platforms. Not to mention all of the beauty, fashion, health, fitness things I am learning on the way. It has turned into something I couldn't have dreamed up. I feel so lucky to do something I love to do! I don't make money with it {yet! I hope I will} but the opportunity to learn and create and the opportunity to discover even more things I love is amazing. If your into all of this stuff, I love Pugly Pixel and Free Pretty Things for You as far as blog making goes. GIMP is like Photoshop, only it is free. Between the 3 of those resources, that is where I do all of my editing for my photo's.
My life changed in January 2011 when I started my blog. Since then, my life has only gotten better. My blog is a reflection of who I am and who I am want to be. And it makes me want to be a better person. I know that sounds like ridiculous but it's how I am feeling, looking back.

So I wrote this whole thing then when I went to go publish it, it was gone! WTF?! I must have deleted it. Oh well. Moving on.....
ELF is one of my favorite brands. It satisfies 2 cravings I have: great makeup + great prices. You would think for $1, these wouldn't be all that great. They are just as good as any Maybelline or Revlon lipstick I have. The only thing is the websites swatches. They really are not true to color. You think your getting one color, and end up with another. Be sure to check this post out + other blogs that have swatches. You can get a better understanding of each color.
Other than that these are great!
They deliver a lot of color and also smell great. Like fruit punch or sweet tarts. These lipsticks are not really drying or moisturizing. They are somewhere in the middle. Yes, they are creamy but after an hour or so you will feel your lips getting dry only to look in the mirror and see the color on your lips still there, but they are just dry lips.
That's nothing a lip gloss can't fix! Either a clear gloss or a gloss that is the same color as the lipstick is what I always use. Or sometimes I pick an entirely different color lip gloss to go over any given lipstick to see what color I come up with. 9 times out of 10 I really like the color I get. Just a little inspiration (:
Classy
This is the very first Essentials lipstick I ever bought. It is also the creamiest one I own. I think that is because I have had it for 2 years. I originally bought this because I heard it was a dupe for MAC's Angel lipstick. I don't own Angel, but I do know it is known as a nude pink. I thought Classy was going to be along the same lines as a nude pink. I probably has to do with skin tone. The fairer you are, the darker it looks. So, Classy is more of a soft mauve pink. I have fair skin, but I still find myself wearing it a lot anyways.
Seductive:
Instead of your bright red color, this one is more of a brown red. A blood red, if you will. It's the one I wear the least but nonetheless is really pretty.

John Frieda -Luxurious Volume- Blow Dry Lotion- Root Booster 2 rules to make this give you really good volume while still making your hair really soft. 1: add to the roots of wet hair. 2: blow dry with a big round brush. I love it (: I didn't add a picture because I feel it was getting a little bit crazy but in the collage above, it's the blue bottle right in the middle (obviously)
Another
new technique I have been using is adding this correcting cream
underneath my eyes as a concealer and adding it to the high points of my face. It brightens really well without adding shimmer. This correcting cream is a good one!
Creamy, opaque, but still thin enough so it wont settle in my fine
lines. Im wearing it in the video.
Hard Candy Concealer Pencil:
I have been using this as an eye liner for my water line! It has been working great as a nude liner. Who woulda thought? This actually came with the Glamoflauge Concealer as a little bonus. It doesn't irritate my eyes.
Love both of these! Both colors are really different than any other blush I have. The rest are pink, haha! Giddy Gold is my top blush. It is so pretty on my cheeks. They both are a nice change up! Click on the link to go to my full review on a bunch of the ELF Studio Blushes.

I have been loving this show! I can't believe all the Catfish they actually found but I am always so happy when they document a true love story...well, as true as your going to get! Something about Nev I love. He is my crush right now.. He looks oddly similar to someone I know who is my boyfriend....hmm. Also, the music they play on that show is so good!
Family Guy :
I am not sure if you guys know this about me but I am a huge fan of Family Guy! It just might be my absolute favorite show and has been for years. The new one about "The Giggity Wife" was hilarious! South Park coming up a close second of course. Oh yeah, I can't forget about American Dad! We call Stella "Roger Dog" because she looks like Roger the alien when she sits up. She's so cute!

I came up with this catchy name for this short little series I am doing on my favorite products from 2012. There may not be something from every category, but each one of these things I have used and loved all last year. A lot of times, I get swept up in brand new products and love them to death for the first couple weeks {honeymoon phase} then they seem to fall by the wayside. Everything in the Besties Awards have been long lasting romances throughout the whole year. These are things I go back to time and time again.
Best Setting Spray
Urban Decay De-Slick:
I have tried the All Nighter Setting Spray
from Urban Decay and ELF's Setting Spray and this one was my favorite.
Surprisingly, I have dry and oily skin. I found that De-Slick made my
makeup last longer than any of them and gave my face a nice matte
finish. I used this during the summer too and it was a life saver! Here's the full review.
Best Concealer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment:
Maybelline's
concealers are a long time favorite. This concealer is perfect for
underneath the eyes. It is really thin but gives full coverage and
seriously brightens underneath my eyes. The only down side is that the
packaging on mine is broken so I have to work at it to twist up more
product. If your looking for a good concealer for both under the eyes
and on dark spots/pimples, try Maybelline's 24/7 Concealer.
Best Foundation
Revlon Color Stay:
I
have tried so many foundations in the past couple of years and I always
end up going back to this. Nothing is as full coverage as Color Stay.
When they say color stay, they mean it! It dries rather quickly so
blending it right away is a must. Once it is actually set, it makes my
skin look flawless and gorgeous and covers everything and will stay put
all day long.
Best Highlight
ELF Radiance Enhancer in Spotlight:
Another thing from the Holy Grail
page. This is one of those highlighters that have a duo-chrome finish. I
wouldn't say this is glittery, instead shimmery. When it hits the
light, it really does radiate. For $3, it really doesn't get any better.
The packaging is sleek, it has a brush tip applicator, and is really
creamy and extremely easy to blend. Any beginner wanting to dive into
the whole contour/highlight process, this would be a perfect place to
start. I want to do an updated review and demo using both colors ELF has
to offer on the Radiance Enhancer range. Coming Soon (: For now, grab
yourself a Radiance Enhancer. You won't regret it!
Best Bronzer/Contour Powder
Laura Gellar Baked Blush n Brighten in Honey Dipped:
I got this in my Birch Box in June of 2011
and it was the sole best thing I have ever received in any box. Even
though it has shimmer in it, I find it to be the perfect contour powder
for me. Any matte contour powder or bronzer I have tried just looks
really tacky and muddy next to my fair skin. In the summer time, this is
the perfect all over bronzer because I am a little bit darker. The
powder is really nice and is easy to blend. After the 2 years I have had
it, it is still my absolute favorite bronzer and I use it more than any
other one I have. I have yet to even think about hitting the pan. Talk
to me in 2015. Maybe I will hit pan then. Probably not. I have swatched this before here
Best Blush
YBF Golden Gleam Bronzer & Baby Pink Blush Duo:
The
bronzer side is nice, yes, but I want to pay tribute to the blush side.
This is the blush I kept on going back to all year last year and will
most likely continue to do so in 2013. When ever I can't make my mind
up, this is my go to blush. It is such a pretty shimmery baby pink color
that creates this beautiful flush on my cheeks. The phrase "lit from
within" was made for this blush. I don't hear much about YBF Beauty but
the company is a diamond in the rough! Check out HSN. They sell YBF
(which is where I purchased it) value kits for a really good prices. Here's everything I got in my value kit when I ordered along with swatches of this duo. It's a really good blog post.

Best Eyeshadow
Stila Eyeshadows
Yes,
I own the Naked Palette and it's great and all, but not as great as the
Stila eye shadows I own. The lighter shades in the Naked Palette aren't
as pigmented as Kitten from Stila . Same thing goes for the matte
shades. Stila's Kitten is my absolute favorite eye shadow in the world
and thats because it doesn't take much to get pigment on my eyes. All of
the Stila eye shadows I own are always so velvety, creamy and pigmented
and I almost always use at least 1 of them on a daily basis. Here's a
swatch I did of Kitten, Terracotta + Jezebel. I
would gladly do a blog post on my full Stila eye shadow collection.
Those swatches are old. I can do a better job! Let me know if your

Best Eye Liners Any of the Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips
I
picked these because they are the only drug store eye liner I used in
2012 that stayed in my water line the whole day and kept the pigment and
didn't run down my face. I actually had a lot to say about these, so
check out the review I did for them a couple days ago. You can also find swatches there too.

Every time I type that I feel like such a dork! Ha! Besties Awards! Im crazy.
The Bestie's Awards are everything I absolutely loved last year. I may not have something from every single category but all of these products were the cream of the crop. Today I want to talk about my favorite eye liner.
What I love about these and why they are the object of my eye lining affection for 2012 is that I never have to worry about them running down my face. Another
problem I run into with eye liners is the fact that they just don't
stay on my eyes at all, let alone run down my face. I have really watery
eyes. Any other eye liner I have used
will be gone within the hour when my eyes start to water. The Shimmer
Strips give me the best of both worlds (no worlds?) meaning it will stay
in my water line weather my eyes are watering or not and will not run
down my face.
A few hours into my day, I will notice a little bit of the product collecting in the corners of my eyes but it is nothing I cannot fix really quick with a swipe of a little piece tissue. Sometimes I don't even bother, to be honest! I get busy throughout the day and cannot watch every move of my eye liner. With these, I never feel like I have to worry about it too much.
As for lining your lash line with these, your going to be golden all day long no matter what. That eye liner isn't going anywhere. I am not someone that really smudges out my eye liner at all but if you wanted to do that with the Shimmer Strips, you have a couple seconds before it sets. I never ever have to set the liners with any kind of powder or eyeshadow or anything. It just stays. I have put them to the test plenty of times (scratching my eyes) and it never budges. However, taking your makeup off at the end of the day with a makeup remover is easy.
These
are twist up eye pencils. They don't need sharpened. They have a built in sharpener in the bottom of each one that I have never used before but its there is your wanting a finer point. I can't say it makes much of a difference as far as
performance goes. They are just as easy to use weather that fine point
is there or not.
The Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips come in a pack of 3 eye liners in different colors. They market them for different eye colors "For Blue Eyes" or "For Hazel Eyes". Even though I have brown eyes, I have tried both For Brown Eyes (comes with a black with blue glitter, a brown, + a purple) and For Blue Eyes (a black with purple glitter, a brown, + a blue).
What you see in the pictures is the For Blue Eyes set along with the one purple eye liner from the For Brown Eyes set that I had from before.
As you can tell from the swatches, the glitter in the black one is pretty much non-existent. It is there and I can especially see it in a heavy swatch like this one, but once it is on my eyes I cannot tell that there is glitter in it. That is either a good thing or bad thing depending on preference. I personally like the fact that it is so subtle. They are nice liners for every day because it's not like bam-in-your-face glitter.
As for the pigmentation, it is really good. This isn't the blackest of black I have ever used but since it stays put all day long, I can deal with it just being black. I usually find myself going around my inner rim a couple times before I get that black-black color I am looking for. So, it is achievable! If I had to work way too hard to get any kind of black line on my inner rim, I would never consider these liners for a Besties Award. As you can see, the brown isn't so much brown as it is a bronzed shade. Just like the black, you can work it up to be a more intense brown but with the brown eye liner, it may be a little bit harder. It's funny because the brown shade is actually the lightest shade of the bunch.

One of those beauty products that I tend to try out throughout the year is mascara. I almost never stick to the same one. I really love to test out different one's. I usually try out maybe 5 or 6 different kinds through out the year. Of course, 2012 was no different. I tried plenty of mascara's in 2012 and the one that always stuck out to me was:
when I am looking for a mascara, I want one that's:
Going
to really get in there and volumize and lengthen. Doing just one or the
other isn't good enough! Of course, with the right technique's you can
get any mascara to work out to some degree, but it's nice to find one
that you know you don't have to work hard at to achieve a certain look.
My lashes aren't sparse. My lashes aren't thick or anything either. I would say I have pretty normal eye lashes. I find that this mascara both lengthens and volumizes my lashes and creates the illusion of them being thicker than they really are without making them look clumped together- while it is on my lashes.

I can't really say that I saw lash growth after a couple weeks of use or anything like that but if your looking for a really great mascara that will give you all of the above for the day or night, you've found it!

Also, if I curl my lashes before I add mascara, it will hold my curl well. This mascara doesn't weigh down my eye lashes at all.

When they mention 100% of people saw enhanced lahes instantly, it makes me go "hmmm." Of course you would see an enhancement instantly. That is why we all wear mascara, right? I think they are really trying to hammer in that idea of it actually growing your lashes over time. Im sorry but I just didn't see that.

What I also really love about this mascara is the fact that it doesn't make my lashes look clumpy or spidery. If you apply several coats, it's inevitable but I never find my self needing more than 2 coats. The first coat always looks pretty. The second coat is when I start to notice those lashes I didn't even know I had being brought out and lengthened.

I would call this a creamy consistency (not a wet formula).

About the brush:
The brush on this is a modern plastic one. I think I can attribute the finish of my lashes to the wand as much as the formula. It really does have a way of grabbing even the shortest, thinest eye lashes and bringing them to a new height.

Here's what it looked like on my lashes. This isn't the best picture (I took it months ago!) but you can see it really lengthens and separates my lashes. In real life, it seems like I will get even more length than that. My lashes will just touch the bottom of my brows.I wasn't even going to add this picture because it doesn't do my words any justice, in my opinion. But, a picture is worth a thousand words and I figure you may benefit more from the picture than any words I can type out.

It has been a very crazy start to the fall. Lots of ups and downs. October is one of my favorite months because of my birthday (the 8th!).
I also love it for 2 more reasons: 1) because I know this will be the last of the nicer weather to takes walks and be outside and 2) it is closer to Christmas!
Unfortunately, the restaurant I was working at closed down at the start of October and I am at a loss *again* looking for a job. I have been praying I can get one in enough time to celebrate Christmas! It is my favorite holiday. This will be an extension of my beauty favorites. Check those out here.

My Birthday:
It was my birthday on the 8th!! Thanks to my mom for making dinner, my b/f's mom, Barb, for making me this delicious cake, my b/f Phil for the presents and taking me out to dinner (Red Lobster all you can eat shrimp! Holla!), & my bfff Alex for the pumpkins, & candle! I love you guys so much! We had a fun relaxing night, talking, drinking wine and hanging out. Alex brought the other puppies Lexi, Precious (Stella's mom), & Chloe (Stella's twin sister). It was 1 of the best birthday's yet! I was so lucky to have all of my favorite living beings there! 4 dogs & 3 other people besides myself. The dog to human ratio is sometimes at least 50/50. Most of the time, we are out numbered by dogs at 2/4. We love our puppies!

Jack-O-Lantern These are at the Boardman Park. I guess all the school's had a competition. Some of the best 1's were done by pre-schoolers! Wow! They look awesome! One good thing about Youngstown Ohio is the parks this time of year!
Seasonal Beer:
I love trying seasonal beers. There's something about fall beers that
gets me exited. I am usually a wine drinker any other time of the year.
At my old work, they would rim the beer mug with cinnamon and sugar, then add pumpkin flavored beer. Perfect drink if your having a Halloween party! I bought a 6 pack of Sam Adams version of Octoberfest. I think that is my favorite Octoberfest beer.
Walks In The Park:
1 of our favorite things to do is go for walks in the park. There are so many good parks around here and lately we have been going to a park called Boardman Park. For the past couple of week's, the park has been really active. On top of the Jack-O-Lantern display, all of the decorations for the witch walk are up in the trail. They had Octoberfest + they are doing pancakes with homemade maple syrup which comes from the barks of trees. Here's some cute fall pictures from 1 of our walk a couple weeks ago. The other night, there were so many leaves on the ground that you couldn't even see the path!

exchanged it to get my favorite fall scent from B+BW. I love this! It's a
spicy, sweet, sweet scent! If your not into the super spicy scents, but

this has a high scent throw!

Air Wick Candle:
The candle Alex got me for my birthday! She knows me too well! It is from Air Wick. This candle doesn't have much of a smell, but I have been lighting it every single night because it changes colors! A perfect present, I believe, is something so gimmicky and cool that you probably would not buy it for yourself. This was right on the nose! LOL! I think this will be in some peoples Christmas boxes this year!

Essie's A Cut Above:
That's the rose gold glitter you see. I love it so much. Not a great mani on my part but I had to share that gorgeous glitter again! And the light pink is from Wet n Wild from one of the older, cheaper nail polish lines. I don't know the name because it wore off and I dont recommend the polish. It got gloopy real quick. I just really love the color. Any baby pink will do for me!

Helter Skelter: Maybe you didn't know, but I love anything having to do with criminal law. Example, some of my favorite shows are Lock Up, Forensic Files, First 48, Snapped, & The Investigators. For a short time, I wanted to become a psychiatrist for people on death row. I want to get into their minds. I also had a slight obsession years ago to know everything there was to know about the whole Manson era. If I could go back in time, I would go back to 1969 and go the Haight Ashbury District, I would attend Woodstock (I would bring food for myself! Im 1 step ahead!) & make it back in time to be at the Manson trial. You may already know I have always had a huge obsession with Hollywood + how movies are made. I love when a set looks "fake". And when it comes to Hollywood, the older the better! I just love it! I would probably have to take my time traveling device to Hollywood circa 1940's too. Im getting off subject...
Even though I watch Forensic Files and can even get into court t.v. as long as its a high profile, juicy case, court t.v. will not capture my attention for too long. I was afraid Helter Skelter was going to be reminiscent of court t.v., reciting a bunch of legal documents from the trial and I wasn't going to be able to follow- considering it was written by the prosecutor himself. There is some legal jargon, but it's really easy to read. The last book I have read this fast was My Friend Leonard. If your into criminal law, the late 60's, or your into the whole Manson trial + more: give it a read!

Stella: Cant leave her out! She's a big girl now and her birthday is coming soon!1 (or 7) year(s) old! I love her. I know, I am a weird dog lady. My idea of a great birthday was having my 3 closest ppl at my house along with the 4 best dogs I know! Alex has Precious, Lexi, & Chloe. Lexi and Chloe are twinsies as they were born in the same litter. Said litter came out of Precious. Lexi's the only 1 not blood related. Lexi is also the goodest dog. The min pins are little brats! LOL! She loves other animals (kitties and puppies) but doesn't like strange people too much.

Old school, right?! How many remember this song? I used to love this song and completely forgot about it. I love when I all of the sudden remember songs I forgotten. I love any 90's rock. It is some of my favorite type of music. This song hits the spot if your craving a 90's rock song. Next song will be by Matchbox20....anyone?

The Challenge. this is my favorite show on. I have been watching it since Real World Road Rules Challenge 2000. I watch it every season & lately, have liked it more than Real World. When it is time for a new season, I always kick myself for not following the last season of the Real World a little more closely. MTV has the best reality shows in my opinion. Teen Mom. Jersey Shore. Second best would be TLC. How can I forget about Sister Wives, 19 Kids and Counting, Toddlers and Tiara's, Little People Big World, or Breaking Amish. I love t.v. This is my absolute fave show, though. This video is for the trailer.
