7 random facts About Yours Truly

1. I make videos but never post them. Only because I cannot figure out how to transfer them into Windows Movie Maker. anybody know how to turn my .mov into whatever Windows Movie Makers needs?

2. I joined tumblr! It is unknown only until now because I am working on a badge for this blog to link to my tumblr, Be Inspired. It isn't a beauty blog or anything, it's more like a photography blog: Some from me & Some from others

3. One of my all time favorite shows is Lockup, which is about people in jail. Yep, I love it.

4. I am kind of obsessed with the 1920's- 1950's. Especially the architecture. That crazy obsession show on TLC? the girl that lives in the 50's? I dont blame her. I am thinking of following her ways. but then of course I will miss my blog too much. There is a place called Crandall Park near where I live that was established in 1910. It was an affluent neighborhood for all of the rich people who lived in Youngstown, Ohio. I took some pictures throughout my life, but nothing compares to the pictures back then. I found this video with pictures of when it was first built. Mine could never compare to these ones.

FYI: I can only tell which house is which by the house itself. It doesn't look like that at all these days...obviously...It wasn't obvious to me though! I thought it would look similar!





5. Like how I mentioned I love the 20's&50's. I can't begin to explain my obsession with Old Hollywood. If you love it as much as I do, you need to watch MGM: When The Lion Roars. It talks about the rise and fall of MGM Studios. MGM Studio's were in Culver City and it started sometime in the 20's I believe and went all the way to the 70's. They tore down the backlot and all. That makes me sad. The Mansion in Meet Me in St.Louis? Gone! It should be a crime! I have been to Universal Studios backlot but I would have loved to see the MGM backlot! I esp. love the way the movies look so 'unreal' - Take Little Women. Their Outside looks so studio like, with walls that are painted with trees and such. Thats why I love it. I wanna know what's behind those walls though. Another good one is Meet Me in St. Louis. Some Like It Hot (& "Sparaticus"! Clueless reference, if you caught that, go you! Your a child of the 90's like I am!) This is getting really long. Next Fact:

**quick fact about Old Hollywood** Did you know? That back then Actors and Actresses signed to a Studio? For Example: Judy Garland signed to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer for X amount of years meaning she could be in MGM movies, & MGM Movies only, until her contract ran out

also, When I first started this blog, I did a little somethin' somethin' about Old Hollywood. Make sure to highlight the text as I had a black background back then and my font is really light.

6. I suppose I will go ahead and give you my favorite newer movies now that I have given you old MGM movies. No particular order: Since I reminded myself....

1. Your Favorite Song: It changes alot so I am going to go with Jay-Z's new CD. or Drakes new cd. I really cannot just pick one favorite song, that's ubsurd! I really just love music, I was a dancer for many years. Music is something I just connect with and I love all types: Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, Country, Hard Rock, Soft Rock, John Mayer...like he's in his own genre but you know what im talking about.

2. Favorite Dessert: I want to attempt making this Pink Lemonade Pie.  My favorite dessert is whatever I am eating at that moment. I live for dessert!

3.  What Ticks Me Off: People who think they are better then you, once they get one ounce of praise or responsibility! *blech*

4. When I am upset I: Lay in my bed, cry and pray. Then I jump on the phone to take some of the weight off of my self

5.  Your favorite pet: Since I only have one pet at the moment, I will say my Miniature Pincher, Stella. I used to have a puggle boxer mix named Bugga and he was equally amazing as Stella. Growing up, we had a Parrot named Candy and he was also equally amazing! How can I only pick one?

6. Black or White:  Interiors: I love White. Clothing and Cars: I love Black.  Eyeliner: Black Highlighter: White...

7.  Biggest Fear: I am not fully comfortable telling people this b/c people will think I am weird or up to something, but I need to be honest and tell you that it's the cops.  Im a crazy person. Nobody wants to drive in my car with me, haha! I am a very careful driver to say the least. I feel like I should explain but it would be a really long paragraph so if your interested in why I will let you into my world a little bit with a post about it.

8. Every Day Attitude:  Hopeful. No matter what happens in my day I try my best to stay hopeful. 2011 has been a whirl wind and even though I have my moments of feeling like giving up (i am human, after all!) I really really try to learn from everything and keep a positive mindset because I have learned in my life that your mindset is all that matters. I try to live in the here and now and if I look at it that way, how could I ever have a negative attitude? For more deep thinking with Erica, check out my New Years Resolutions. haha!

Seven Random Thoughts about myself:

1. I think my doggie Stella is on speed as she is completely mad

2. I am a list maker and calender planner. I have so many planner's around my house. I feel like if I don't do them I will then be as crazy as my doggie

3. One of my favorite past time's in the spring and summer is to take a walk with the dogs and Alex. So glad we get add Stella and Chloe in the mix this year (Chloe is Stella's sister!) In fact, I miss it so much during these winter months

4. My mom and dad (Bob and Penny) have been divorced since I was 2 however I am close to the both of them

5. I love following trends of any kind. I am a self proclaimed trend-junkie

6. I have a huge problem with shopping

7. Since I started my blog, I realized I want to work for a magazine or a beauty website so when I go back to school, I will be going back for Communications

Tell us something about yourself you haven’t told us in your blog?
yikes! not sure if there is much left to mention! not saying a have led an uneventful life. Oh I know! 2 weeks before we went back to school, 7th grade: first day in middle school! My best friend Natalie's sister Mandy, cut Natalie's hair because that day, she decided she wanted to attend Cosmotology school when she graduated, as she was going to be a senior in high school that next day. Natalie's hair looked so cute that I told her I wanted mine cut exactly the same. Natalie and her sister are Puerto Rican and have very fine, soft, straight hair which is nothing like my white girl hair: curly, frizzy, and hard to manage. We all figured that as long as Mandy did exactly what she did to Natalie's hair, it would be the exact same.....it wasn't. She kept on having to cut and cut to the point when their mom came home and realized what a mess we made which then in turn her mother whom was a server (not a hair stylist) cut my hair to make it even. Problem was, was that my hair went just to my ears, which was nothing like Natalie's! Needless to say my first day of middle school was quite embarrassing! Funny story! A long story, looking back on this paragraph but it was something I have never told you guys so it fits the bill! hope you enjoyed laughing at my 7th grade expense!

The Versatile Blogger Award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woah! Thank you so much Dani for awarding me! I couldn't be more happy! I have never had an award before so I really wanna award her but I feel like it's pointless because she already has the award....Idk, I linked her anyways, her blog is awesome. To think that someone actually thinks I deserve an award is really amazing. I cannot tell you how many hours I have spent blogging. When I asked my boyfriend how many he's thinks, he looked at me a bit scared to even answer and said "100's and 100's....probably 1,000's" I have spent countless nights on gimp getting together "season trends", re-doing my header and layout, writing the posts, taking that "perfect" picture. To think that all of my hard work payed off and someone else's loves it too is rewarding. Blogging for me has become rewarding over the year and I can't believe how much I have improved. So yeah, now that im done being mushy and gushy let's get on with it!

 Here's a couple things about me that you probably didn't know:

-I am an only child

-My favorite music genre's are rock (king of leon is my favorite) and rap (jay-z is my favorite for the moment)

-I moved to Las Vegas for exactly a year when I was 19. alone.

-I drive a freaking yellow car and I hate the color...talk about standing out.

-I went to school for Interior Design, but never finished

-I have had the same best friend since I was in 6th grade

-I live in Ohio

-I love mixing sprite and a little bit of lemonade- yum!

-I would rather stay at home with my boyfriend and my puppy and blog more than go out on a friday night. I know I am weird. When you have went out every single night for 4+ years it gets to be old.

-I danced throughout middle and high school

-I used to be a stripper

What Are You Thinking- I have seen her blog from the beginning and what I love about her is that she never ever gives up and is always trying new things on her blog to make it better. She is extremely creative too!

Amarixe- If you watch her on YouTube then you know who she is. Her blog is really great for swatches and reviews and she blogs often. Her blog covers different things then her channel does for the most part.

Kiss an Makeup- She was the very first blog I followed I think and I have loved her blog ever since. Her blog is different then any beauty blog and I can't out my finger on what it is. Her photography is always great. She is the person that inspired me to brush up on mine!

Nouveau Cheap- If you wanna know what sales are going on on a daily basis, if you wanna know what new products are hitting stores, she is your girl to go to. It is every beauty girl's must read.

Meredith from Pigments and Palettes- If it is some inspiration your looking for for your next FOTD, you dont need to look any further! Seriously, this chick is amazing

P.S. Its Vida- I always love her photography and she is either talking about the "it" thing of the moment or some really nice things that maybe I don't know about. As soon as I see it on her blog though, I search everywhere for it.

Makeup Wishes- A UK based blogger that always has something good to say

Life as a Southern Girl- You can always expect a through review on her blog and she probably reviewed everything offered in a drug store that is humanly possible

Beauty Meets Lifestyle- This is a newer blog I started following, but I think it will quickly become one of my all time favorites

The Sunday Girl- I always find myself clicking on her posts and then once I get to her blog, I realize it's The Sunday Girl again! She always has some really good topics! UK based blogger too

MSodaPop- Another blogger I have been following since the first day and I have always loved her blof as well. I think it says something when you have been reading a blog for a year, yah no?
