Warm Weather Wishes and Favorites

Hey guys! How was everyone Fourth of July! It rained like hell here.  We took the freeway to see the fireworks. Usually there are fireworks all around en route to downtown but it turns out everyone else had the same idea because there was a huge traffic jam along with a serious storm. There was even a tornado a couple miles away! (I live in north-east Ohio, btw).

I wanted to go ahead and finish the 30 Day Fashion/Beauty challenge! I have other things planned for the next couple of weeks as well but this has been written and done just meaning to be published! Hope you enjoy it!

Here is your "Beach/Pool Wishlist" edition

Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Maaji Bikini Tsunami Sublime (from the Tone It Up girls!) This is the cutest bikini I have ever seen. And, its even reversible!

Victoria's Secret Angel Fresh Glow Luminous Cooling Mist: Heard about this on Youtube and I thought it was the coolest thing! A shimmer mist that is also cooling. If the "Angel" stamped on the name is any indication on how it smells, I love that perfume!

Mark. Curl 2 Curl Reactive and Define Mist: I have wavy/curly hair and with these type of products, it is really easy to wake up with next day hair and be out the door. When I make a mark. order, I am grabbing this baby! I have high hopes! My tried and true curling mist would be Ouidad's version:

Victoria's Secret Flirty Little Secret Firming Bronzer with Pheromones : Another VS product. I can't help it. Title says it all. I think...lol

Sephora's Waterproof Eyeliner: Everyone always thinks about the waterproof mascara...what about the eyeliner?! That is just as important to me!

Bath & Body Work Malibu Heat Shimmer Mist: I missed out on these in the semi-annual sale. dammit.

Banana Boat Tanning Oil: I have a confession. I am not big on Sunscreens..I know, I am awful. I recently got a freebie of sunblock that I have been wearing on my face. Hope that helps! Either way, I am always going to but on oil before and during a pool day. It just wouldn't be right otherwise. It smells and feels like summer with tanning oil.

Red Rivet Juniors Basic Colored Jean Shorts: You can find these cute colored shorts at Wal-Mart for __$$! This was something I could really jump on board with. I think the yellow are my favorite. Would look awesome with a tan

Summer Fitness Wishlist

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray: If my hair is all wet from being sweaty, I think that this stuff could give it new life! Technically not a fitness wish but I kinda forgot it in the previous collage. oopsie!

Nike Free run plus 3: I am positive that these are so comfortable! My Puma's are little worn down + these are a neon/pastel green color! so cute! You can do some serious color blocking at the gym!

Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred: I have heard so many awesome things about this so I must try it.

Beach Babe DVD: Tone It Up's DVD. I love them. There workouts are always really great!

Girls Just Wanna Have Sun Tank: From the Tone It Up store. I know. I am going overboard but c'mon! that's adorable!

Summer Faves:

Bonfires: We have a pit in the back yard and we light a fire whenever possible!

Pool Parties!: My absolute favorite thing to do in the summer! In this picture it is my moms boyfriend daughter, Tina. Her son, Nickolas. And, your truly (: p.s. I am not sure why it says November, 19th 2008. LOL! it is clearly summer time and this was taken in 2011.

Walks/Biking in the Park: Another absolute favorite thing to do.

Popsicles!: I have really been loving making popsicles and finding popsicle recipes. Especially this popsicle! It is a Skinny Blueberry Cheesecake Pudding Pop! Extremely easy to make!

Do you guys have anything good on your wishlist?
What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?
shot me a comment!

Till Next Time,
Erica

Christmas Wishes - Book Edition

Hey there! I wanted to do a couple of these kinds of posts where I talk about what I want for Christmas. Partly because I wanna share with you guys and give you some ideas and partly because I don't wanna forget my wishlist! There has been so many books I have been wanting!!!! FYI- be prepared: Meet Makeup will be taken over to do Christmas gifts hauls, Christmas gift ideas, etc. What ever else I can think up! I am not sure if you guys know that Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday! And this is exactly why. It inspires me to be creative in every which way: parties, presents, blog posts, decor, fashion, makeup, food. I mean anything I can think of I try to make it Christmas oriented...so yeah. Hope you guys are gunna love it! Dont worry tho, because I do have a review or 2 coming up and also a cyber monday haul too. I also have a FOTD coming up as well...soon enough I am hoping to find the time.

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen- (novel) we actually just watched this last night and in a lot of ways it reminds me of The Notebook. I cannot say it tops The Notebook but it is pretty similar so if you haven't seen this movie, you need to! As soon as the movie was over I knew i had to read the book next.

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks- (novel) I have seen the movie a million times but I have never read the book so I really want it- I am positive it is going to be amazing.

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks- (novel) Same author as The Notebook and me and by bf love this movie. And I cry every. single. time. It is so freaking sad, that I have to be in a mood to watch it but I cannot wait to read the book.  Also, have you guys heard the soundtrack? It is amazing as well.

Million Little Pieces by James Frey-  (novel) I have read My Friend Leonard by him as well and it is my favorite book to date. I read it in a matter of 2 days. My Friend Leonard was seriously a book I couldn't put down and I always hear people say that about books and couldn't truly relate until I read this one. This book is really good about love, hardship, addiction- it is a must read. My Friend Leonard is the sequel to Million Little Pieces so I will be reading it backwards. Oh well.

Queen Pin by Jemeker Thompson-Hairston and David Ritz (novel) I heard about this from Makeup by Mel from Youtube and she said it was a good one. As she mentioned this is about drugs, sex, & violence and is a true story. Right up my alley- sounds like an excellent read.

Nars Makeup Your Mind-(makeup book)  Dont think I need to mention what this is about. We all want this one.

Lauren Conrad Style Guide- (fashion book) I always loved Laguna Beach & The Hills but I was always team Kristen. Nowadays, Lauren Conrad is one of my favorite (affordable) designers so I think I would really love this one. You can get her clothes at Kohl's btw.

Barefoot in Paris by Ina Garten- (cooking) If you have ever watched Barefoot Contessa on Food Network then you will know of Ina. Her show is the only cooking show I can sit through and keep me interested. The name Barefoot Contessa was actually adapted from a '60's movie about the culture in Paris, among other things that I have no clue about lol. But yeah, I want her cookbook.

Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons- (style/how-to)I really just love her. She is so glamorous from her clothes to her homes that I want her book. What beauty blogger wouldn't?

Ur Infinite Power to be Rich by Joseph Murphy- (financial) I have read (a few times, actually) Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach and I seriously learned so much on how to save and spend money. You too can be a shopaholic and actually save money for retirement and vacations, so as far as Smart Women Finish Rich goes, I highly recommend it. Even if your a boy, I think it is still perfect. Too much to explain in this little paragraph but it will give you worksheets to tailor your spending and what not and to help you figure out what is important to you and it also helped me turn my dreams into goals by putting every detail on paper and mapping it out for me.

Twilight-(novel)  I haven't read this yet but everyone I talk to tells me that I must! So yeah, I wanna read it. Although, this isnt at the top of my list. Have any of you guys read it?

Update, Beauty Wishlist & ?OTD

Ok so as you may know, I have been unemployed. Well after weeks of searching for a job I finally got a call back from Burlington & a local bar Quench. (which happens to be literally 2 seconds away, which is awesome because I don't like driving at night on the weekends.... too many drunk drivers and too many cops!) I do not have the job(s) just yet, only interviews. But I am hopeful! I am exited- I love Burlington! After scheduling the interviews, I jumped right on the computer to see what I wanted from Sephora once I get paid! haha....The funny part is that I am not kidding...that is how ridiculous I actually am

1.Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage- I have wanted this for some time now....I went to buy it a few months back and it was sold out! Gotta get my hands on this! Has anybody tried it? $26

2.Smashbox Try It Kit- I have been eying this all summer long! It comes with a foundation primer, lid primer, mascara, lip gloss (illume is the name of it) and liner. I do love Smashbox but I have never tried any of these things. I am particularly exited about the liner- it looks really creamy. the best part is $19 for all of it. These are all minis with the exception of the gloss & liner I think. Either way, it is a great way to try everything!

3. Benefit Feelin' Cheeky- This is an exclusive to Sephora that has the High Beam, Posie Tint & Benetint mini's for $15. I have never tried Benefit's Tints and I am really itching to, so this is a perfect time to do so again!

4. Nars Sea of Love Set- This is a new limited edition and also exclusive to Sephora only. Oh my gosh! This is perfect for me because that is everything I wanna try from Nars- Turkish Delight has been on my wishlist for some time now (once I found out Kim K uses it, of course!) So this has the mini Turkish Delight gloss (too bad it isnt full size) mini Super Orgasm in blush form, mini Orgasm Multiple, & a full size Laguna Illuminator. $49

So yeah there was some other pretend shopping to be done...

1. Naked Palette- I think I am the last person in the beauty world to grab this baby but what can I say about it? Its the perfect colors to do any look- and the price has went down at Ulta to $48.

It has been a few weeks now since I blow dried my hair...which I am now realizing that my hair has become a lot softer and it's getting longer, quicker. I do know I will go back to blow drying (can we say addict?) but before I do that I need to give my hair a major break and some tlc...(blog post in the works for exactly what i am doing to make hair healthy)

2. Nexxus ProMend Split End Binding Line- I have researched and so far, I have found that this is the ONLY line in drug stores for dead ends! I need to concentrate on my ends and keep on re-mending them. They have a Shampoo&Conditioner, Overnight Treatment Creme, & Leave in Treatment Crème     u can grab these at Ulta or any drug store- prices range from around $10-$20

3. Lush Balance & Repair- This has the Rehab Shampoo, H'suan Wen Hua Hair Moisturizer Treatment, Retread Conditioner, & Jumping Juniper Solid Shampoo. I actually wasn't really impressed with Lush's bar of soap (Rockstar)- It was really drying- but I wanna give Lush another shot. I hear good stuff about the H'suan Wen Hua so we shall see- I am on the fence with this purchse tho- any feedback? It's $25

4. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment- Another I have had my eye on- I hear there are many benefits with argan oil and im sure you have all heard the hype!

Question so my question for you guys is about a good full coverage foundation. I currently am using and loving Revlon Colorstay- It has great full coverage and stays on all day. I wanna try something new tho- I feel like the only foundation that ever gets mentioned is Laura Mercier & Colorstay.
So I wanna know, what foundation do you guys like?

Perfect Summer Beauty

Hey guys I wanted to do something different than a Wish List post so I decided to go with another spin..but its pretty much the same thing! enjoy

First off you need to smell good and stay fresh and clean on a beautiful summer day and I love layering scents going with Body Wash, Lotion & Perfume and one of my favorite scent's is Falling in Love by Philosophy

When it comes to my hair and summer they dont get along. The humidity makes my hair extremely frizzy so something I have been wanting is Bed Head Spoil Me- it will de-frizz your hair while repairing and also will give your hair a light movable hold.

I have been obsessing over concealer for some reason and my list keeps on getting longer and longer! Some of them I really wanna try: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage & Benefit Erase Paste

Bumming around on the beach calls for a new, awesome bikini that I have worked soo hard to look good in! This one from VS is perfect for me. I love the way the top looks. Wireless Push Up Halter in White Paisley

Any girly girl would know Heels + Bikini = Summer Beauty! I have been really wanting a pair of nude heels...with spikes!! OMG soo freakin awesome! These are from some other world...

And oh yeah, this bag! I have been eying it every time I walk into Target. Milani Floral print bag
what has everyone else been wanting for the summer?

Spring Wish List

Note to readers: This is strictly a wish-list, with other people's opinion's. Once I buy these and use these items, I will give my own opinion. Also if anybody can give me any advice or have found a great duplicate of the products/items I have on this list, please Comment! thanx! P.S. is this font ok?? can we all read it easily? On to My wish list!

One of the things for this spring I want the most is definitely the Olay Advanced Cleaning System. I have always been big on how beauty is natural and makeup or nice clothes don't make you beautiful. so, I feel this is one of the more important product/items on my wish list. You need to take care of your skin! I dont have the money for the Clarisonic, I wish I did trust me. But i've been reading the many reviews (Olay vs. Clarisonic) and what i've pretty much been finding is the big con on why the Clarisonic is better is because it is water-proof, Olay is only water resistant. I mean you get what you pay for with electronics, and most of the time (not all of the time) with beauty products as well. At that the Olay is only like $30 while the Clarisonic is around $200. With a couple more difference's but alot of the reviews i've been reading are about how people have used them and they felt the same level of cleanliness with each item. But I do want to find out what each of the cleaning-machine's come with as far as cleanser's go. If anybody know's please comment below or if anybody has one of these 2 item's please comment below as well.

Next item for me...I know, I know! call me a late bloomer! but ive been really want to check out those Pearl lipsticks and I couldn't remember which make-up brand was advertising them and when I went to find out online which one, I guess CoverGirl, Maybeline,& Revlon have all caught on to this "pearl-tastic" trend. Ive have always bought the Soft Lip's balm and you always get a tinted lip balm with the regular lip balm. I have the two colors Sweet and Shell Pink but I first got hooked on these a couple years ago and my first color was Pearl and I still look for those to this day. I love that sheer, nude/pale, pastel color. (which ive been seeing every color of the pastel rainbow on the menu for spring!)  I always give the reg. lip balm to my b/f. So happy and exited to try these type of colors in stick form. MAC is also coming out with a limited edition lip-stick line called Sheer-Jeanius for this spring. They are so clever aren't they? Below are the Maybelline ColorSensational Pearl Lipsticks

Revlon Colorstay- I seen a "best drugstore foundation" review on it and I have always gone with the mousse foundation...well for years seriously. Its just not doing it for me anymore honestly, I haven't been getting full coverage with it so im gunna go for a liquid foundation. It is supposed to give's you full coverage (which is a must for myself) plus it is around $10 PLUS if im not mistaken, they are haveing a BOGO half off going on at Rite-Aid for Revlon. Perfect opportunity! (hey guys, I bought this and i will tell you what I think!

Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush & Bronzer! I want it so bad! It looks so pretty!
I guess it smells good and is supposed to be a mood booster, I just want it bc it's so pretty, I will be purchasing this one soon bc this too is BOGO half off at Rite-Aid (w/ your rewards card) So a review is in the makin for this one too. Aren't they pur-tty?!

NARS Turkish Delight- Kim K wears it and it looks "gorge" (as she would say) I guess a good dupe for this would be Victoria Secrets Innocent but I have been wanting this Gloss for over a year now so I do hope I can get! It's just that perfect nude/pinkish color. I guess the VS Innocent isnt as "white" and that's what I really like about the Turkish Delight
Turkish Delight

Innocent

Garnier Fructise Roller Ball- I hear this is a great product, hope to try this soon!!

if anybody does have any of these, please tell me what they think!!
Thanx For Reading!!!
